Had cancelled IDFC card application, now cannot reapply

Hi
I had applied for IDFC credit card few months back. I was offered the Select variant. So I decided to cancel the application.
I tried a week later, then got an error stating cannot process your request.
I got a call from IDFC few weeks later asking me to complete the application process. I told them about the error.
They could see the application cancellation, but it wasn't actually cancelled. They told me to try again after 3 months.

I tried again last week, getting the same error. Anyone else having this issue?

In my personal experience, if you get rejected once(by any means), they say wait 3 months but actually you've to wait for 16-18 months. Good thing about idfc is (again in my personal experience), after 16-18 months if they let you complete the process(application + vkyc) & will give you the card instantly like within 1 minute(no visits nothing). After getting physical card, if you want another card whatever ever it maybe, if you apply, they'll give you that card instantly(this time only PAN & phone number is sufficient, no need of VKYC not even Aadhaar Otp). That's how Bad & Good they're. So try after 1+ year, take whatever card they offer you, after getting the card, apply whatever card you want & close the prior card. I did the same, they offered me select card i took it, then I applied for power+ card they sanctioned it, then I closed select card. as simple as that.

I don't care that much abt Ltf factor, considering my usage, Power card is better for me in terms of upi, swiggy offer, road assistance. Fee reversal on spends. As a matter of fact today I closed my Axis Myzone LTF card & IndusInd Aura Edge Card also. More over select card offers nothing better than my existing cards so.

You need to change your address you will get ur card Millenia or classic

From where? It shows up the pop up as soon as I enter the OTP

I asked them, they told me I can re apply but it shows same error message. Will going to the branch and asking them work?

I don't think so it will work, as IDFC Bank system is weird, and if you apply offline, still application will check your history and you will face problem.

Although still you can visit branch, because they may have some workaround to Fullfill there monthly card opening targets, which may help you.

This is partially correct. You can get a co-branded card (Power+, Vistara etc) as a floater card instantly if you have any existing core card (Millenia, Classic, Select, Wealth). You can't get another core card against your existing core card unless and until you are eligible for an upgrade.

Sometimes just a soft enquiry is enough for banks to decide the eligibility (as per their upfront application processing guidelines).

Soft enquiries are not reported to CIBIL, only hard enquiries gets reported.

I was offered WOW Card initially, that time my credit history was just a month old. But even after 6 months, it didn't change. So I tried using different mobile number, now this sorry pop up appears on both my numbers and it's been there since forever. Tried mailing them, messaging them on Twitter, calling them but no use. Guess I won't be getting IDFC Card ever :')

Update. I opened IDFC page and this time it seems my application was reset and I was able to apply afresh.

After filling all the details I was able to see IDFC Millenia with 1.25L limit. Did vKYC, let’s see if application gets approved.

Just curious, anyone sees IDFC Select or Wealth card using this method? I’ve seen many people applying using the online link and they only get WOW or Millenia Max.
