So just now I received my instant HDFC CC through email, how to check does it have annual charges or not??, because when I receive physical card it would be the same information for everyone (given documents), not like AXIS Bank as it send the clear mentioning of annual charge.

NOTE = I have salaried Bank account with HDFC , CC is not pre approved, agent helped me for applying.
= Applied and received instant message like it has been approved like in 15minutes (with virtual card)

If you do not get a proper reply about the LTF status through mail/customer care, then I recommend you to check for this particular entry I have circled in the attached screenshot. This screenshot if of the second statement generated for my HDFC Millennia Card. Notice that 1 Reward Point has been credited to my card account, signifying successful conversion of my card to LTF category. Same 1 Reward Point credit was also posted on my mother's Business Moneyback CC, but on her 4th generated statement. Let me tell you one more thing I observed. These reward points were posted on our statements in the same month in which we achieved the spend based criteria to make our cards LTF. That means, I fulfilled my LTF Spend based criteria just before the generation of my 2nd statement, and my mother fulfilled her LTF spend based criteria just before the generation of her 4th statement. My mother was offered pre-approved LTF CC on her HDFC bank account, and I was offered LTF CC through an agent. We both chose not to rely on their claims, and fulfilled our respective spend based criteria to guarantee our card conversion to LTF.

The agent may or may not be speaking truth. So why not fulfiil the spend based LTF criteria to get extra assured? I recommend you to spend the required amount for LTF conversion within 90 days and get the confirmation of successful LTF conversion through the statement, just like I and my mother got.

Thanks for the info. I got LTF last month (after statement generation), I believe this (1 RP credit) should reflect in this month's statement. Though I have confirmed from grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com and through customer care already.

If you have got written confirmation of LTF from HDFC bank over mail, then it is also great. Now, you can show this mail as a proof in future if there is any dispute regarding the annual charges.

it could be first year free too in this case. U will know only when u have the 1RP confirmation in statement OR get confirmation from their team on email
I would end up out spending 1 lacs waiver criteria, so not too concerned, but this was curiosity since unlike axis I had only one HDFC cc to know about how they go about things.

So I am gonna spend 50k to convert it to LTF, can I spend it on fuel??, I mean I have car and 3 bikes, I am ok with surcharge. Without fuel I don't spend 50k anywhere else. Do u have any other idea to spend 50k?, Let me know..

In case of millennia even wallet load counts and gives 1% cash back.
But I don't think that wallet loads will be counted towards spend based LTF calculation. Generally, retail spends are considered for calculating the milestone in any spend based programme. according to this document:

Wallet Loads and EMI transactions are not considered in calculation of retail spends. So it is better to achieve the spend based milestone through other types of transactions, like Fuel and Utility payments.

Rent payments also count towards spend criteria, have tried it!

As user @007 said, you can also mail grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com to get a written confirmation from the bank that your card is indeed LTF. If this method is successful, then you may NOT need to spend 50k to make this card LTF. You can also apply for an Add On card on your existing card to make it LTF. Since the Add On card is also LTF, you also do not need to spend a single rupee extra to make your card LTF. But to apply for the Add On card in the name of your family member, that member should also have a savings account with HDFC bank. Otherwise, it will be difficult to get an Add On card issued. You can look into this thread by Sumanta Sir for more details:

Coming to your questions, fuel will probably be counted in this spend criteria. So you can try to achieve the milestone by spending on fuel. Apart from fuel, you can also try to pay your Utility Biils(like Electricity Bill, Gas Cylinder, Broadband Payment, etc.) and Municipal Taxes from your card. These expenditures are there in every household. Also, you can try to pay Bills and Taxes of your friends and neighbours too(if possible).

Again, as @007 said, I think that rent payment is also considered towards retail spends. So you can try to transfer your card balance to you bank account through Cred's Rent Payment Portal. After using Cred coins' offer, you will be charged less than 1% of the amount as the transfer fees. But you will also gain 1% cash points as the reward for Millennia Spends. So you will be in net profit through this transaction, and also achieve the spend criteria to make your card LTF.

That's exactly what I did. Did Rent Payment through Paytm (there was a flat 2% upto ₹1000 offer running), and it charges around 1.6% fees. So was in profit eventually (0.4% Paytm + 1% Millenia) and also achieved LTF criteria! 😁

Hi all , I got the HDFC NEW MILLENNIA CREDIT CARD today and it is LTF for me unconditionally. I do not hold any existing relationship with HDFC BANK. I got this LTF based on my credit history and credit score across several credit information companies.
Another great thing is that my MILLENNIA card is based on DINER’s CLUB International platform and has a unique 14 digit Card number

Few weeks ago I received pre-approved CC from HDFC. I wanted to know how to confirm whether my card is LTF or not?
My first statement is generated 3 days ago.
