Very minor difference I noticed is
1. DCB plastic gives access to 1000+ lounges whereas the metal one gives access to 1300+ lounges. I remember it was 1300+ lounges for plastic one. So, maybe they decreased for plastic one before launching the metal.
2. No fuel surcharge waiver.

KFC app , it always fails or declined .
So I used visa card every time .
And razorpay based some small ecomm website not accepting diners .
Some pos machines also I faced in Bangalore.

Of topic, Kfc has become shit. Bought zinger after a long time, only to find that the patty was literally in cylindrical shape. Complained about it to the counter and they simply ignored me.

Same story with stripes, looks like they are abducting and selling baby fingers.

I have also faced issues with Amex in Fuel Stations. I have even seen that sometimes tap doesn't work but chip dip does. Many merchants have even outright refused to process if not Visa or at best MasterCard. Not to mention the online portals where its mentioned directly. I think that since Diners club is more niche so more issues.

Haven't faced any problems at fuel stations with Diners. I have used multiple fuel stations of different companies but never got any issues.

Infinia upgrade won’t come on its own. You’ll have to ask and be persistent for it. Upgrade limit bit more and some decent spends.

There is no point in getting a Diners Card unless it is LTF no matter how lucrative the rewards structure seems to be because you will never reach the milestones or will be able to make use of the rewards even. What is the point of a card tha is not accepted anywhere?

It works only on HDFC and Pine Labs terminals and even then not on all of them. Amex is accepted at far more places. For me it is especially useless since the school does not accept Diners. In T2/T3 cities and towns in Kerala there is no question of anyone but the largest stores accepting Diners though every small shop has a POS machine. On the other hand Amex acceptance has improved by leaps and bounds recently.

Had a Diners Privilege changed it to Regalia Gold.

If your spends are atleast 4L in a quarter once minimum or annually spends can cross 8L to get the fee waiver and you are using smartbuy frequently, you should get the metal card. Else continue with DCB plastic only.

It's heavy
Less than Aurum , more than Magnus , Plat charge.
I think almost similar to Infinia , and white Reserve.

Did you get the upgrade offer via HDFC portal? I only recently got DCB (~3months back), and haven't gotten the option to upgrade to metal yet

I got the offer for upgrade from LTF DCB to FYF DCB Metal.
Not upgrading as I don't see much benefit.
