HDFC Bank Re-KYC

DEEP_RAY

TF Select
Hi All,

I am HDFC Bank SB account holder and my account is 3+ years old.
In HDFC bank application the KYC status was "Y". But recently it has changed to "Pending".
Does it mean I need to submit KYC again ?

Same happened to my known's account. Bank said to come home branch for Re-KYC. If we don't soon,
You won't be able to keep more than 1 Lac in Account
Cheques Won't Pass
Rest, online transactions such as netbanking would work as normal, credit debit transactions would be normal. The account would be termed as a Mini KYC Account.

I am facing same issue. How did you solve the issue? Was it resolved automatically or you had to visit branch and submit kyc documents again?

Hey,
Login to NetBaning and navigate to - Accounts -> Requests -> Re-KYC option.
In the top you will get an option called - Complete Re-KYC online. Click that link and fill some form and validate aadhaar.
Upon success it changed the status instantly.

Note: Currently the link is down. Try tomorrow or Monday.

If this is urgent then let me know, will share another way to update without visiting branch.

Not sure if it's urgent or not because I am able to perform all transactions normally without any restrictions. Is the re-kyc really required or it's a technical glitch from bank? What do you think? Anyways please tell me the another method as well.

Its not a technical glitch. When I faced this issue, I did a lot of research.

REASON:
So when someones account is more than 3-4 years and if you have not updated address or CIF details then HDFC system mark that customer as KYC PENDING customer. This is standard RBI rules they are following. After that HDFC app shows KYC as PENDING. I know lot of my friends, their status already changed to PENDING but nothing happened. They can easily do all types of transactions.

Ways:
1. Netbanking - Instant
2. Customers can send their duly signed Re-KYC form & valid KYC documents through registered email id to Rekychdfcbank@hdfcbank.com (only if the customer confirms that there is no change in address).
3. Visit Branch (For me branch person was confused what to do)

If I do re-kyc from netbanking, do I need upload identity proof/address proof/KYC from etc? Just saw some old youtube videos. As per them these are required. Is the process changed recently? Is it only aadhaar OTP based now?

If your address not changed then it will not ask for proof of address. You need to upload one image of yourself. Thats all.

@PRITAM_CARD I did re-kyc today using netbanking. Uploaded a selfie and authenticated using aadhaar otp (no change in address). But in mobile app kyc status is still pending. Also got this sms "Confirmation! Your Aadhaar has been updated in our records on 26-NOV-22. Please approach your nearest branch for linking your HDFC Bank A/c No." What is happening here, do I need to really visit branch?

Hey @souvikr ,
HDFC Aadhar link is for receiving DBT. You don't have to visit branch for the same. I had received the same message and email.

For my case - App status changed to "Y" instantly. I request you to wait till Monday.

Please keep us updated whether it changed or not.
