I recently opened a max account in hdfc bank, the employee at the branch told me that she will upgrade my account to classic if I maintain 2L for sometime,
Also, she told me that you dont have to maintain 1L MAB just maintain 25k they won't downgrade your account.
does it really work like this?

Branch have target so they offered u such one
Nothing bad if no charges/downgrade later
Mine is saving max but my branch didn’t offer such

I heard that if you use your account regularly then they don't downgrade it.
