HDFC Credit Limit Increased from 15.5 lakh to 17.05 Lakh

Because we use it broadly.
Yeah. 16000 (12K + 4K qrtly milestone) every year. :partyface:Anyways, for me it is at 5L currently. Last time I got LE is when I used 85% during tax payments between Apr-June and also in July with Payzapp load. This quarter it was just 1.02L. Lets see if they give after till March or between Q1'25-26.

I got HDFC limit enhancement of only 40k. Should I go for it or wait for better limit enhancement.
Current Limit: 2,40,000
Proposed limit: 2,80,000
CC: HDFC Millenia

Dost...Only trick is to spend more...Annual spending on this card is around 15 lakh
15 lakhs spend on the card? Infinia spend waiver is 10L a year and DCB is 8L a year. Bro you easily meet both the requirements and HDFC will happily give you a FYF card. No need to pay fee or let HDFC earn money on your spends.

Agree but i can generate around 8% return on my spends by using multiple LTF cards based on bank offer rather sticking to a particular card & being trapped in a cycle of fees waiver (HDFC increase spend on its CC by trapping users in fee waiver cycle).

I am not a frequent flier so paid infinia is useless for me (I did my calculations) and reward rate is much lower than what i can generate with LTF credit cards of multiple banks. DCB has acceptance issues as reported by many users on this forum so i intentionally rejected DCB.

We were using Regalia gold for high value spends only with 2 objectives
1. Milestone vouchers: Which they recently stopped as i mentioned in my earlier comment. Without milestone voucher it is CRAP card
2. To get LTF infinia which they refused when it was offered as upgrade

Now we have stopped using regalia gold as i mentioned earlier and diverted all spends on Axis credit card in a hope of better LTF CC will be offered by Axis in next 1 year...If they will not offer, we will transfer spends to other CC.

you don’t travel and only use LTF cards but are using Axis cards? What is your current strategy?

ppl who got limit increase do u all have 1 single card or multiple cards like the cobranded ones too???
Same question for me too, can anyone please confirm you got LE even with existing co branding ones. HDFC didn't give me any LE after I started taking cobranded cards(personal experience). If that's the case, I'll just close all and keep only one core card.

I am thinking same, as when I don't had cobranded cards i was getting auto LE, but now totally have to go for manual LE and fighting with grievance team for upgrades

generate around 8% return on my spends by using multiple LTF cards based on bank offer r
How is this doable? I mean even after having cards with 10% cashback, I am only able to see 2-3% real returns because many spends are in the 1% category like offline card swipes and excluded categories.
I am looking at ways in which I can improve the return % on cashback LTF cards (like Swiggy and Neu Infinity) Otherwise I am thinking of moving to reward point based cards.
The limitation of cashback card is that we may not always use the card for the best category. Thinking of ways in which I can improve the returns.

One way is use one card only for that specific category where it gives the maximum cashback. But this maynot work always. (I will test it though)

I would assume he is getting such returns using milestones. Milestones change the return rate a lot in one go. Example I have DCB Metal, I get 3.33% on normal spends, 10% on vouchers, 16.67% on flights and 33.33% on hotels. Now average could be around 6% depending on how much you spent on which category. But as soon as I hit 4L milestone, I get 10K extra points which is 2.5% extra over and above 6% (assumption) making this 8.5%.
American Express have even better milestones and they provide huge jump in returns.
