Hmm, HDFC looks set to introduce a metal version of DCB that raises the daily and monthly cap of the current PVC DCB.

I think I read that HDFC is not giving out the PVC on renewals and only handing out the Metal variant to all folks (new and renewals both).

If this is wrong, I'll be pretty happy haha

I am in exactly same situation.. my plastic version LTF will come up for renewal in a few months.. hoping they renew with plastic version LTF as not too keen on spending for incremental reward caps.. pretty content with what the plastic variant offers currently.

Do update this thread of you get any further information / clarity about the same.

Will it remain LTF though? Or will it be paid? My current one is covered under the alumni offer making it LTF.

You will get PVC on PVC renewal...nothing to worry about. Do update the thread once you have the renewed card in hand. You will get metal only if you choose to go for it.

On a separate note - Metal DCB makes more sense with higher accelerated rewards cap and milestone benefits only if you can recover fee with these additional features. Infinia Metal doesn't have any additional benefits over its PVC variant.

I was using DCB plastic from January 2021 & got renewed to DCB plastic again in Jan 2024 & now my DCB plastic LTF is valid up to 2031 January. So plastic DCB will be on plastic itself. No forcefully converting from bank's end with out customers interest

Insurance payments gets reward points but capped at 5000 points per day. But I am not sure what MCC code Tata neu app will have.

Received DCB without meeting criteria by 20-30%. My spends are not that high but maybe I will get Infinia later. I have a corporate preferred account. 3rd card with HDFC after I cancelled Neu Infinity and Millennia due to low limits. I think HDFC is being generous this month given the new financial year.
