My Experience
Since I have an international trip planned next month to Japan I tried to apply HDFC ForexPlus Card (multicurrency card) and load some 2,00,000 Yen to the card to compare the actual reward rate. While Google is showing the exchange rate of 2L Yen equal to 112150 INR, HDFC is charging me some 1,16,695 INR including loading charges of around 195. It equates to a direct loss of approximately 4.01% since HDFC has higher Forex rates. But with a 16.66% (5X) reward rate on my Diners Club Black credit card, this deal is too good since it would leave me a net reward rate of 12.65% which handsomely beats even the reward rates of Axis Olympus and Axis Reserve. This is a good offer especially if you hold Diners Black or above credit cards.

Loading in USD is proving to be much cheaper since only approximately 2% charge is being applied so if you want to get a card then go for Regalia Plus Forex card since although it can be loaded only in USD but can be used to pay in any currency worldwide since it has zero cross currency markup charges.

I got my regalia forex card and set pin. After 2 days got email that you have to place request to activate card.

Having a slightly peculiar problem. Ordered my Regalia forex card online and collected it at the branch the following day. However, on trying to activate it, I got a text saying the activation was on hold and I needed to visit the branch to sort it out. Of course, the people at the branch were clueless, but I managed to get through to phone banking while there and they said that the problem was because my old Regalia forex card, which expired last year, needed to be cancelled in the system before the new one could be activated (even though the old one expired months ago; don't ask me why). They submitted a request for that and that's been done and my new Regalia card is active.

But I cannot log in on the prepaid cards site because the IPIN mailer that came with the card was made in hell and the two sheets of paper that are supposed to come apart and reveal the IPIN were firmly stuck together, and trying to separate them only resulted in them tearing without revealing the IPIN.

When you click forgot password on he prepaid cards site, it asks you to enter your user ID (for which new users are supposed to enter their card number), card number, DOB, CVV, card expiry, and a captcha. I've tried everything - entering my card number, my previous Regalia login user ID, my HDFC customer ID, in the user ID field and it says it's wrong every time.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem and got around it? I don't want to call HDFC if I can avoid it.

You have to call them and request for new Web Pin for logging in, there is no way around.

I ordered non personalised card and paid 1100 usd. I visited nearby 2 branches,one told Bm is on leave and we are not sure about availability of kits.
Another branch said we don't have forex cards.

How can i cancel this application and order personalised card?

Called customer care and they cancelled application and told full refund will be received in 7 days.

One one hand it says - "For spends made under the 5X rewards eligible transactions, the 5X reward points (i.e. 1X + 4X points) shall be credited to the customer's card account in the 1st week of the subsequent calendar month."

But on the other hand it says - "Transactions settled/posted during a calendar month will be considered for calculating accelerated reward points accrual in that month, maximum accelerated reward point accrual can be 15,000 per calendar month"

I do not think that "The limits are over and above the limits of HDFC SmartBuy", as the OP says. I was misled, be careful folks.

Ordered personalized card on 16th February, got message yesterday on 20th February that card is ready in branch. Picked it up today from branch using aadhaar biometric verification as I didn’t have my passport physically.

HDFC Brochure is saying we can only have 2000 USD unspent in the card.

If I use my diners club plastic card to load 90,000 will I get 15000 points? I understood that this is different from smartbuy capping. Just want to confirm the daily capping of 2500 is also not applicable here and will get 15,000 points

This offer is separate from the SmartBuy quota. Yes, you can load from your father's card. Keep in mind the TCS limits.
