Issuance Fee Waiver Offer
There is another offer running on the issuance of an HDFC ForexPlus card where the joining fees get waived if you load a minimum of 1,000 USD or equivalent value of another currency. Check this out.

My Experience

Since I have an international trip planned next month to Japan I tried to apply HDFC ForexPlus Card (multicurrency card) and load some 2,00,000 Yen to the card to compare the actual reward rate. While Google is showing the exchange rate of 2L Yen equal to 112150 INR, HDFC is charging me some 1,16,695 INR including loading charges of around 195. It equates to a direct loss of approximately 4.01% since HDFC has higher Forex rates. But with a 16.66% (5X) reward rate on my Diners Club Black credit card, this deal is too good since it would leave me a net reward rate of 12.65% which handsomely beats even the reward rates of Axis Olympus and Axis Reserve. This is a good offer especially if you hold Diners Black or above credit cards.

Loading in USD is proving to be much cheaper since only approximately 2% charge is being applied so if you want to get a card then go for Regalia Plus Forex card since although it can be loaded only in USD but can be used to pay in any currency worldwide since it has zero cross currency markup charges.

Also, we can technically load to the fullest reward limit and transfer back the amount to bank and still get good positive return then...
There r lot of loopholes here.

2% load markup charges, i guess 2% unload too. Not sure if unload would be allowed to a different payment option than the load one.

But easiest way is to simply use it for INR payments as well, as there is zero conversion fee. Assuming INR is allowed for forex cards. If it works, then Plenty of cc or prepaid cards to bank tricks.

i am gng duabi next week should i use marquee credit card pr any other is better , what is this tcs and will i be charged tcs?

I have yes marquee is tht btr or any other card. I should use
You are asking in the wrong thread. These points are for using HDFC credit card to load HDFC Forex cards. If you do not have this combo, then Marquee is the best thing for you.

@Ash8 Here is all u need.
I tried applying many times and for different people as well, via both the flow of having HDFC account and not having.
Every single time I got the same error of passport expiry date not being correct.
The site is behaving stupid.

It's showing online should I get it online will I still get reward points?
I have replied to your comment with a post yesterday. Please check that. Its a detailed comparison on the Credit cards for Forex and I see yes Marquee being one of the best cards for Forex

Website has issues. Even I was stuck at currency conversion calculation step several times. Later, in morning, it worked.

Yes, forex card can be used online as well.
But you said your card will get activated tomorrow, so you can't pay using the card till then obviously.

Yes. But it activates in a day according to the bank personnel.
Did you have to pay any money at branch which would be loaded in your card? Or did they just gave you the card for free and during the activation you would be paying for the first load and the card issuance fee (if applicable) ?

If u don't want ur name on card, u can get it immediately. 5-6 days wait is for cards embossed with ur name. U get option to choose any. I chose with name.
I didn't see such option of being able to select when you want your name embossed on the card. Does it come during payment or somewhere after you have entered your passport details?

Is double dip possible? For eg if I take new card online, load usd 1000 then

1. I get 5X?
2. issuing fee gets waived?
