Issuance Fee Waiver Offer
There is another offer running on the issuance of an HDFC ForexPlus card where the joining fees get waived if you load a minimum of 1,000 USD or equivalent value of another currency. Check this out.

My Experience

Since I have an international trip planned next month to Japan I tried to apply HDFC ForexPlus Card (multicurrency card) and load some 2,00,000 Yen to the card to compare the actual reward rate. While Google is showing the exchange rate of 2L Yen equal to 112150 INR, HDFC is charging me some 1,16,695 INR including loading charges of around 195. It equates to a direct loss of approximately 4.01% since HDFC has higher Forex rates. But with a 16.66% (5X) reward rate on my Diners Club Black credit card, this deal is too good since it would leave me a net reward rate of 12.65% which handsomely beats even the reward rates of Axis Olympus and Axis Reserve. This is a good offer especially if you hold Diners Black or above credit cards.

Loading in USD is proving to be much cheaper since only approximately 2% charge is being applied so if you want to get a card then go for Regalia Plus Forex card since although it can be loaded only in USD but can be used to pay in any currency worldwide since it has zero cross currency markup charges.

You sure bro? That doesn't make any sense. I have received a sms as well as an email to collect the card from nearest branch.

Update:- Collected the kit from branch.
Yes bro,
Initially, they were delivering Personalized and Non-Personalized cards home. Then they stopped delivering Personalized card to home. You can check previous messages of this thread to see it.

I have collected the card from branch. However the card has already expired in Oct 24.
Now I have received SMS that the load has failed as the card is inactive and I'll have to get a new kit tomorrow.

Planning to apply for my Dad, he has my add on CC and also has HDFC account. is it okay to apply from his account using the Add on card? Also, will it be delivered to home if applying non personalized?

Hello all. I have a query regarding chargebacks.

I'm planning to get the HDFC regalia forex plus card to book an online tour. This tour company has decent reviews but just as a safeguard, does Regalia forex plus card allow to dispute the transaction and raise a chargeback (similar to credit cards)?

I applied for regalia forex card on Tuesday and yesterday I got an email from Ebixcash that they will deliver the card on behalf of HDFC. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Weren't you saying all this time that this offer is peanuts in exchange of money, pointless, useless and what not and now you have applied for it?
i mentioned in one of my post that it is good, if you are not using it anywhere...I only bought and will keep 2000 USD (limit permitted by RBI) for investment and hedging against rupee decreciation...I will not use it....

Rupee will cross dollar 100 Rs very soon so it will be good deal.

So you don't intend to spend the USD. Rather just wish to transfer back the amount to your bank account after Rs is more than 100/ Dollar.
Now what if HDFC find this unethical and reverses your CC points? Maybe they'll follow axis and also make your RPs negative?

Update: Didn't collect the new kit today. And received a message that the forex application has been cancelled. Also received a message for reversal of transaction.

Now this happened because I used the expired kit. How to ask for compensation from RBIO @sjmajumder

I have a regalia gold card and wondering if this offer would be good for me. I have a overseas trip coming up and was thinking of loading USD an withdrawing from ATM or paying through this card. Or will paying directly through regalia gold be better? I think there is a GVP program which would net a loss of 1% while this would effectively be beneficial for 1%. Am i missing something here?
Usually for my trips i just use my Indusind DC with 0 forex markup.

I have confirmed ticket and i will be traveling abroad. I will retain boarding passes for future reference

It is my choice to use forex card or not to use...i am not violating any t&c.

It is unethical if i take card based on wrong declaration that i am traveling abroad
