Looks like this is indeed the case.
I did one transaction yesterday after my bill generation this month of Transaction amount required for just above 1000 cb including this month previous transactions and got full cashback for trabsaction instead of getting capped at 1000 per calander month.
E.g. I got 120 cashback this month before bill generation and 882 cashback after bill generation totalling this month's cashback just above 1000 i.e. 1002.
Now did one more transaction to make it 1002 for this billing cycle to verify that it gets capped at 1000 per billing cycle.
If I knew one day before, I could have got 400 more cashback from previous statement cycle 😭.
P.S. Standard chartered still not following RBI guidelines of giving 30 days notice or any notice at all for such changes 😞.
