I got hold of some senior officer and my regalia card issued. Not yet. I am discussing with branch how to go ahead.
My case is slightly different, I am having ICICI BANK PLATINUM CC WITH 2,50,000 LIMIT WHICH IS ONE YEAR OLD. BUT MY HDFC CARD LIMIT IS 50,000 SINCE A COUPLE OF YEARS. CAN I SEND MY STATEMENT OF ICICI CARD AND ASK FOR LE ON HDFC CARD. I AM USUALLY SPENDING 80% ON MY HDFC CARD SINCE LAST 3 MONTHS EARLIER MY SPENDS WERE NOT THAT MUCH. Phone banking officer gave the form you were talking about but he denied that they will not increase Credit limit card to card basis. But in the form there is option of "C4C".Send your magnus card latest statement to Chennai along with upgrade form. It's available on Bank website or just google it. Tick C4C bundle in the form.
We always misinterpreted. It's CARDS FOR CARDS. (C4C) not card to card
Hdfc bank will review the limit only if you give statement of these cards. Amex, Axis, hsbc, Citi, StanC.My case is slightly different, I am having ICICI BANK PLATINUM CC WITH 2,50,000 LIMIT WHICH IS ONE YEAR OLD. BUT MY HDFC CARD LIMIT IS 50,000 SINCE A COUPLE OF YEARS. Curious why ICICI is not available, but anyway will give it a shot no harm in mailing I guess.Hdfc bank will review the limit only if you give statement of these cards. Amex, Axis, hsbc, Citi, StanC.
Yes for your satisfaction u should definitely try.Curious why ICICI is not available, but anyway will give it a shot no harm in mailing I guess.
Alternatively, As anyway I'm trying to Invest certain amount (around12L) as FD for a period of 1.5 years in HDFC so at that time can I ask RM to consider upgradation of card by that relationship or will he mark it as lien against cc upgrade/LE for higher variant. and will they downgrade/close the card if in future I cash out the FD after tenure?Yes for your satisfaction u should definitely try.
I had tried with kotak. But they did not review. And in the email they specifically mentioned the names of those cards that i just wrote
You can opt for lien FD but at the time ofAlternatively, As anyway I'm trying to Invest certain amount (around12L) as FD for a period of 1.5 years in HDFC so at that time can I ask RM to consider upgradation of card by that relationship or will he mark it as lien against cc upgrade/LE for higher variant. and will they downgrade/close the card if in future I cash out the FD after tenure?
If you are going for 12L FD u can get Infinia. It would be lien.Alternatively, As anyway I'm trying to Invest certain amount (around12L) as FD for a period of 1.5 years in HDFC so at that time can I ask RM to consider upgradation of card by that relationship or will he mark it as lien against cc upgrade/LE for higher variant. and will they downgrade/close the card if in future I cash out the FD after tenure?
in the past i have myself got upgrade then but then tons of people received the offer and then metal infinia wasn't there. so in the present my dad's have moneyback with 2.26 lakhs something limit and only through investment i could take upgrade through RM. so it possible but then you would lose tons of point just for the hope of an upgrade. if your spend is idk 4 lakhs or more. spend on different cc. never spend on one particular cc just for the sake of upgrade/LE.Is it possible to receive a preapproved upgrade offer from HDFC Millenia directly to DCB / INFINIA ?
Or going through Millennia -> Regalia Gold -> DCB/Infinia is the only possible route?
Asking this as Regalia cards are quite underwhelming, but I do plan to upgrade to HDFC super premium cards in 2-4 years. So is it possible to directly go from Millennia to DCB / Infinia? Any real experiences are appreciated.
My spends vary with time.. and will increase in upcoming years as I'm approaching some life milestones.in the past i have myself got upgrade then but then tons of people received the offer and then metal infinia wasn't there. so in the present my dad's have moneyback with 2.26 lakhs something limit and only through investment i could take upgrade through RM. so it possible but then you would lose tons of point just for the hope of an upgrade. if your spend is idk 4 lakhs or more. spend on different cc. never spend on one particular cc just for the sake of upgrade/LE.
IMO you shouldn't upgrade. Maybe once you deny the offer you might get better offer (as we saw one guy got big LE because he didn't accept 10-20k LE but it's all risky). My spends vary with time.. and will increase in upcoming years as I'm approaching some life milestones.
For now, it's usually 3-6L spread over 3 cards.. (This year it was higher ~10L due to some one-time purchases)
60-80% Millenia
15-30% TataNeu Infinity,
5-10% Icici Apay (card selection based on best rewards)
Now, the reason for asking this question, I received a pre-approved upgrade to Regalia Gold FYF.. There's also a bug in mycards that shows renewal fees 0.25 Rs, which could help me get my fees waived off by arguing with Greviance/PNO, but the chances are slim.
Still, I'll have 1 year to bargain and if nothing works, I can try reverting to LTF Millenia at the end.
My last 3 HDFC Pre-approved upgrades happened every 6-10 months. MB -> MB+ -> Millennia. (Most likely triggered by salary and spend increase, I've HDFC salary account, all cards LTF)
"Currently," Millenia is a great fit for me and gives good returns via Apay GV, etc on ~50-60% of my spends. ( I'd have to replace this with SBI CB (Apay GV) or Tneu (utilities) if I upgrade to Regalia.)
But with time, my spends will increase and diversify and Millenia CB capping has started to become an issue, thus the willingness to move up. (And in the long run ~3-4 years, Inifnia or similar cards might start making more sense for me)
** That's why I'm trying to judge if upgrading to Regalia Gold, arguing with HDFC on the mycards fees glitch, and shifting my spends to other cards is worth the hassle.. or should I just stick to peaceful cashback cards. **
I'd also appreciate your opinion on this.

Mycards bug would most likely resolve in 3-4 days, as someone already posted it on twitter and tagged HDFC..IMO you shouldn't upgrade. Maybe once you deny the offer you might get better offer (as we saw one guy got big LE because he didn't accept 10-20k LE but it's all risky).
Or even if you consider upgrade, take SBI cashback card first as backup (5k cap, isn't it better than millennia?). Then proceed to regalia gold. And for mycards bug, create a screen recording 🎥 too, instead of screenshot only 😉. Your increasing spends are also the reason to upgrade you card.
Hope it helps in decisioning your card.
Yes, bugs might be fixed. They might deny.Mycards bug would most likely resolve in 3-4 days, as someone already posted it on twitter and tagged HDFC..
So if I am to risk taking it with glitch recording, I'd have to do it in 1-2 days max. (and later worry about SBI Cb backup)
PS, I already made a recording yesterday until the last step, just haven't clicked on the final Upgrade button.
You mentioned you have just 3 credit cards, all of which are LTF. Where did you do spend at? If it's online, then Amex Plat Travel can be good up to 4 lakhs. If not, MRCC is good up to 1.50 lakhs. But then, you could already know all this. I checked Millenia Reward, and it offers 5% cashback, just like SBI CB. I'm not sure about the capping, though. My spends vary with time.. and will increase in upcoming years as I'm approaching some life milestones.

Frankly, RG is a pointless card with only one benefit that is 12 lounge access even using PP. Even your addon card holder can get a PP but they can't be swiped together. It's lounge access catalogue is as expansive as Infinia. Reward rate is dismal unless you use, Myntra, nykaa, Reliance Digital etc.My spends vary with time.. and will increase in upcoming years as I'm approaching some life milestones.
