Important update on Lounge Access via HDFC Credit Cards from December 1st, 2023.
HDFC Regalia First

1. Effective December 1st, 2023, Complimentary lounge access at lounges within and outside India can no longer be availed on Regalia First Card.

HDFC Millennia

1. To Access Domestic Lounges you need to spend Rs 1 lac in a quarter.
2. The number of domestic lounge visits on HDFC Millennia reduced to 1 from 2 per quarter

HDFC Regalia

1. To Access Domestic Lounges you need to spend Rs 1 lac in a quarter.
2. No condition is applicable for International Lounge access using PP issued with HDFC Regalia

HDFC Regalia Gold

1. No changes were made.

Looks like another attempt by HDFC Bank to pocket annual fees by making people upgrade to Regalia Gold who are holding LTF HDFC Regalia and HDFC Millennia.

This functionality of lounge visits basis of spends is kind of new, so I don't know if the implementation would be smooth

But nowadays many lounge POS machines have implemented 3 hour cooldown for card swipes, so i couldn't use my Magnus to make two consecutive swipes at a lounge

Have you previously used immediately immediate two swipes? It was like this only earlier too. In the same lounge one can swipe only after 2 hours.

Why do you want to swipe again immediately? For guest access, you need to inform to add +1 as guest in the terminal and do single swipe.

In Dreamfolks, It is showing only Domestic lounge access to Tata neu Infinity card.

But there is one International lounge access also mentioned in the Tata Neu app

It's a good upgrade as nowadays most lounges are full of people but i think 1L spend criteria is too much for most people (not for me ofcourse), it should be 10k or maximum 20k. Also they didn't need to completely remove lounge access on Regalia first (I know it's done so people upgrade to regalia gold/regalia) instead they should have introduced spend criteria.

For LTF issued cards, I can assume that they'll provide a FYF upgrade to the metal variants, both to Infinnia and DCB and close those plastic cards in order to boost revenue.

Can now sense trend to be getting followed by many other banks which offer Free Lounge Access especially on mid premium credit cards.

Now criteria by IDFC to spend 5000 appears to be way to easy on their credit cards to get free lounge access compare to HDFC.
1 lac ask will be too much to spend in a quarter for majority of the people holding Regalia.

Sooner the time will come for no more crowded Lounges 🙂

@Buttman I guess this so called devaluation is only for Domestic Lounge access. No impact on International lounge benefit as I dont see any spend criteria on Regalia for the same.

Magnus is a no brainer after seeing all the posts except Burgundy and DCB Plastic ( will fall Because of lots of free cards to alumni) Deval and restrictions on the way and infinia hard to get so there will be sanataa soon except the privileged peeps.
