Are you talking about their private banking services?
I have had decent experience with SCB priority
Can't comment on HSBC as yet to experience
Not priority. But it wasn’t their lower account either. It prime savings something like that with 2L MAB. But I suppose the sluggish buggy app is the same for priority banking too right?

Hi friends, this conversation has been quite interesting! I read through the entire thread as I've also been on the lookout for a good HNI bank.

I’ve been with HDFC for the past 20 years, currently holding an Imperia account along with the Infinia credit card (plus Tata Neu, Swiggy, and MB cards). Unfortunately, the relationship manager's support has been almost useless. I've been trying to get a locker for the past two years with no success. Moreover, HDFC's wealth management services haven't met my expectations.

Recently, I decided to switch banks and opened a HSBC Premier account with a first-year fee of ₹12K, which will be waived from next year if I can reach a TRV of ₹40L by year-end. My plan was to achieve this by transferring some existing investments and adding more savings. However, I later discovered that their Demat account is chargeable, and they don’t assist with direct investments in shares. While they do support mutual funds, they don’t allow transfers of my existing direct funds, which has been frustrating. At this point, I've almost given up on HSBC.

Last week, Axis Bank approached our office with an offer to open salary accounts. They offered the Burgundy savings account (for salaries over ₹2L) with a Select credit card as LTF. Since I already hold Magnus, Atlas, and Vistara cards, the Select card doesn't appeal to me. I requested a Magnus card under Burgundy as LTF, but they declined, though they mentioned it might be possible in the future with no commitments.

I’m now seriously considering moving my salary account to Axis. The primary reason is that the RM I spoke to is a former Citibank employee, and he assured me there will be significant improvements at Axis post-merger with Citibank. I've heard positive things about Citibank in the past, so I’m hopeful Axis might offer better services in the future.

Of course, if they fail to meet expectations, I can always explore other options.

For locker, take a locker at the nearest available Bank branch near your house/office. Doesn't matter which Bank it is. Its good to deal with a single bank, but it's not mandatory.

For investments, do not involve banks. If you need help, please involve a PMS or a fee-only financial advisor.

For Axis, AVOID. First, wait for their positive things to come, if and when that comes and stays stable, you can always jump into it.

Yes, I have already taken the locker at Karur Vysya bank nearer to my home. Thanks for the advice on investments. Let me workout.

Read whole thred. What is the final outcome?
I got my ICICI a/c upgraded to wealth today. No change in anything except UI turned black.
I am also having moreover same kind of requirement. Wanr good CC and i am not a fan of paid services whether it is salary a/c or CC.
I have read good card with radiance status in BOB. So also trying to moce my home loan there to meet the NRV.
If you also have some flexibility on NRV, check BOB radiance

Don't open an account with Axis. Their services are pathetic. My Gold account transferred from Citi to Axis with same RM but I closed it within a month because of their policies and services. They are just BAD!

I have ICICI Wealth Account because of 20+ yrs relationship and HDFC Imperia based on salary/relation (20+ yrs).
I am not getting much benefits from ICICI (Locker or credit card etc). Locker not available and Emerald Private Credit card is not getting approved from long time. Having Sapphiro LTF.

With HDFC Imperia, I am having free locker and LTF Infinia (5yr+). Overall HDFC will be better, in case you want to get benefits of Locker, DD, Super Premium Credit cards (Infinia or Infinia Reserve expected soon)
