Regalia Holding Regalia, Tata Neu Infinity rejected

Is there any limit on HDFC CC a customer can have?
I am with HDFC bank for the last 10years.
Classic Banking Programe and also having Regalia LTF with 9.7L CL

I got the DCB LTF upgrade offer in Jan-2021, but could not upgrade as I was out of country and the offer got closed in a week.
Currently getting DCB on fee basis, so not interested to upgrade.

I got offer from Tata Neu for LTF Infinity card and applied for Rupay variant (for UPI payment)
First the video KYC was not completed citing my photo is not clearly visible in PAN card.
Again I tried next day and the executive rejected because I looked away while answering (question was which state and city I am currently in) and he marked for manual KYC.

Manual KYC took a lot of time (15 days) and multiple verification. Below is the sequence of events:
1. Aadhar KYC (at residence), D+2
2. Office address verification (executive just asked on phone), D+7
3. Residence address verification (Physical verification, I was not available so executive confirmed with my neighbor), D+14

I can not get what was the point of #3 when #1 served the same purpose.

Yesterday I got email that I already hold another HDFC card so my application is put on hold and suggested for Limit enhancement.
Funny part they don't offer LE on my card (checked last year) saying it is already at max limit.

Anyone having similar experience?

I don't see any reason to reject your card.
I have HDFC Regalia 3L limit + 10k MAB Acc with them and i got Tata Neu Inf without any KYC. Just entered the information on Neu app, approved immediately and received physical card within 7 days.

You should escalate this, HDFC allows 1 core & 1 Co-branded card. I know atleast 6-7 people personally who have Regalia+Tata Neu Infinity combination.
Some people even have DCB+Regalia+Tata Neu Infinity but that is rare.

Definitely should escalate - Reason provided for rejection is not proper - There are many people who have 2 cards from HDFC.
Did you apply from Tata Neu app for from HDFC? Many people from the form applied from the Tata Neu app and got the card.

Applied from Neu App.
If I check with HDFC directly then getting the lower variant FYF only.

Any escalation matrix details you have?
 
You can try mailing to customercare@tataneu.com first - asking about reason for rejection, maybe ask for reconsideration of application. You can also mail the same to customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com and grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com.

All those, whose applications were rejected due to let it be any reason. Everyone must escalate the issue first with "customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com" thereafter one service request is assigned then approach "Grievance.Redressalcc@hdfcbank.com". 8 out of 10 people will get their card even after rejection.
 
On 16th I wrote email to customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com asking for reconsidering the application.
On 17th I got reply that application is rejected due to internal criteria.
We regret to inform you that we are unable to approve your application as it does not meet the above mentioned internal criteria of the bank.

I thought of skipping the card and decided to not do any followup further.

Today I got email from Tata Neu that my card is issued and I checked the same is now visible in app.

It seems there are multiple channels for card processing and not in sync. So every channel behaves on it own.

I have hdfc regalia and tata neu rupay infinia both LTF. I have dont have hdfc account. i think it depeds on cibil score.
i went to branch n asked for DCB upgrade, they asked for salary transfer. then i sent email n got DCB LTF under the alumni offer.

On a separate note - any other way to get DCB LTF other than the alumni offer, currently?
 
@shivek Something similar happened with my wife's application too. She currently holds a Millennia card with limit > 10 L. Applied for Tata Neu Infinity, there was no Video KYC in the application flow, only authentication using netbanking/existing card etc. Completed that and it said application is under process, and a day or two later got a call from a person claiming to be from HDFC saying that they need to do an address verification. Since we were away, shared the details with the person and told him that he can check with relatives in the same building.

The next day got an email saying the below, but on the Tata Neu app it was shown as rejected and the credit card tile itself vanished.

Our bank representative will reach out to you shortly to request more details about your application. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to visit your nearest HDFC Bank Branch for more information

Having said this as above, we regret to inform you that we are unable to approve your application as per the Bank's internal policy and we seek your understanding in this regard.

I doubt non usage should matter.
I was also not using my card since November 2022.
For address verification I also had the same case and executive spoke with my neighbor for confirmation.

From my experience I can say that definitely the neu card has got a separate channel as the regular email support denied the request.

Try checking with tatanuecardsupport@hdfcbank.com for rejection reason.
 
So got a positive response for my email dated May 22, 2023 to tataneucardsupport@hdfcbank.com. Initially got the standard response saying they will reply in 48 hours, and then it got extended couple of times, and finally got a response last night saying the card is approved and issued. They also shared the last 4 digits of the card. Btw even though I sent the mail to tataneucardsupport@hdfcbank.com, subsequent email responses came from customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com.

We observe from our records and confirm that your credit card application was approved with the credit card ending with XXXX and the same will be dispatched and delivered to your registered mailing address shortly. Post dispatch you will get the notification shortly.

Shortly after the above mail, got an email from Tata Neu saying the card has been issued. 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, I am a bit confused with the whole thing. I wonder what role did the escalation team do, considering my first email was to PriorityRedressal.CreditCards@hdfcbank.com who responded with some standard boilerplate and never tried to find the real reason.

Anyway happy that the issue is resolved and the card was issued. But HDFC definitely need to work on proper communication and transparency.

My card issuance was such a breeze. I applied for HDFC regalia a week ago and got the card 3 days ago. Yesterday night I applied for the TATA Neu Infinity card on the Tata Neu app and was provisionally approved instantly after authentication using DC. Today morning it was approved. I'm expecting delivery soon.

Similar thing happened with me. I have millennia credit card and applied for Tata neu plus from HDFC portal. After two days. It got rejected by saying that you cannot hold second credit card. Then I mailed to escalation.cc@hdfcbank.com, they said you cannot hold two credit card then I mailed to grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com, they said you can get a new card due to internal criteria after grievance mail I GAVE UP. On top of that I have salary account with HDFC.
