  3. DBS - Idk why I am still holding this.
  4. Paytm Payments Bank - Had opened it long back, not sure why I am holding this too.

Where does it say that?

Wherever it does, from time to time SBI decide to abolish the SB balance requirement for a few years at a time, and publicize it through notifications. Those supersede their earlier policy on the subject.

One should keep eyes open for their next notification reintroducing the MAB requirement if and when they decide to do it again. It is widely publicized in the media. SBI savings accounts remain zero MAB till then.

Yor are right. Sbi have updated their website to nil balance..

But orginal it said-
March 12th 2020

SBI, the country’s largest bank, on Wednesday announced a waiver on maintaining the average minimum balance (AMB) requirement for all savings bank accounts.

Currently, there is an AMB of ₹ 3,000, ₹ 2,000 and ₹ 1,000 in metro, semi-urban and rural areas, respectively. There was a penalty of ₹ 5 -15 +taxes on the non-maintenance of AMB.

Along with the AMB waiver, the bank has also waived off SMS charges.

There is a bug right now. You can open new kotak 811 even ur a/c closed. But account number will be different. Just opened in July month.

You can open 2 nd a/c in kotak too. It needs approvals which is not your tension. Agent will take this.
