I hold following bank accounts

  1. ICICI Bank (Savings) - For salary crediting and investments
  2. IDFC First Bank (Savings) - for savings purposes, it gives good rate of interest.
  3. DBS - Idk why I am still holding this.
  4. Paytm Payments Bank - Had opened it long back, not sure why I am holding this too.
  5. Fi.money - For day to day transactions as my primary savings account would get cluttered with few hundred rupees transactions.
  6. Jupiter - Had opened alongside with Fi, thinking to close this.

RIP for those people who use it as primary account :hear-no-evil-monkey: :grinning-squinting-face:
it is back up but it was down for nearly 12 hours. It felt as if this whole bank is in one computer server and internet is fckn' down. Can u imagine? Shameless. They didn't even update us on social media that the bank will be down or maintenance, nothing.

Please see my bank portfolio.

Currently Holding theses accounts ...
1. SBI - for savings and schemes also main account
2. Kotak 811 - Recently converted into Super for 5 % CB
3. Canara Aspire - Recently opened for Rupay platinum offers.
4. IDBI SB - I don't know variant but its zero MAB , I don't why i am holding this ( Going to close soon )
5. BOB advantage - Not operating since long time so its going to close due to its dormant status.
6. Paytm Payments Bank - Used this bank account heavily long time but now you know very well ...

So now I am thinking to close 3 acs out of 6 (Idbi , bob, paytm )
And thinking of adding 2 more accounts for their respective purpose.

First
HDFC - Going to make main account and purpose is their CCs
ICICI - Already had a closed account but opening again for CCs and their tech savy Internet banking and Mobile banking.

Thats it !!! 😄
I welcome you precious suggestions....🙏

HDFC Net Banking and App are very worst. Bank itself very worst.

Go with ICICI and IDFC First for the best banking services.

I actually streamlined/closed my Accounts. Here is it as of now:

Axis Burgundy - Used for Investment, UPI and all of my funds are kept here.

HDFC Imperia - Nothing is kept here but Imperia status is maintained due to Family Banking

IDFC Wealth - 1000000 is kept here for one day of the month to ensure average balance of >25000. Use the DC for CC Bill Payment Cashback

IndusInd Pioneer - Have Lockers and FD’s here. Also use the IndusInd Pioneer DC and Exclusive DC for CC Bill Payment Cashback

Why should I go with these worst banks?

I'm happy with IDFC First and ICICI.
Do you know the meaning of worst?
If you don't have experience of multiple banks, then how can you say which bank is worst.
Everyone is an expert here, do think before you type.

From my experience only I said.

I experienced all banks.

Most of them with salary accounts.

HDFC was my salary account. One of the worst salary account.

Recent additions to my SA portfolio.
  • HDFC Preferred – Joint Family
Rationale: HDFC remains a traditional banking choice, making it a reliable option for older generations.
  • ICICI Wealth – Income / Fixed Expenses
Rationale: Closest branch to my location, offering the best internet banking/app experience at the time. Never faced freeze issues and works well for high-value transactions.
  • IDFC Select – Savings / Big Expenses
Rationale: Originally an IDFC Niyo zero-balance SA, later converted to Select after their partnership ended. Best IB/App experience so far, access to Select DC for bill payments, and competitive interest rates.
  • SBI Regular – Discretionary Expenses / ATM Access
Rationale: My oldest account, converted from a Minor to a Regular SA. A no-frills, zero MAB account with the widest ATM network.
  • IndusInd Exclusive – International Expenses
Rationale: Moved from IDFC WOW CC to Indusind Exclusive SA for its zero FX markup debit card, making it ideal for international transactions, including ATM withdrawals. Also useful for bill payments and offers high interest rates.
  • RBL Aspire – Investments
Rationale: Provides access to Signature+/EDC DC for bill payments, along with high and relatively stable interest rates.
  • Kotak 811 Super – Bill Payments
Rationale: 5% cashback on bill payments (up to ₹500) using the Super DC.

Don't you have any joint account with your parents or your spouse? Or you prefer to keep all the finances separate.

No, till now I don't have any joint account with parents and spouse. I prefer to keep it separate.
Will think about joint account in future if it is necessary. As of now I believe joint account is an unnecessary complication.
