How To Get HDFC Bank Infinia & DCB Credit Card Easily - New & Upgrade

HDFC Bank Infinia is the best credit card available in India for frequent air travellers. HDFC Bank market this credit card as an invite only card, but in reality you can actually apply for this card.
Official Eligible Income Criteria For HDFC Infinia- 43L ITR (depends on location)
DCB - 24L ITR
If you don't have ITR of 43L/24L you can still get HDFC Infinia/DCB, you have to fulfil some other criteria.
This information is not available publicly on HDFC Bank website.
Hidden Criteria For "New HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank Infinia credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 10 lakhs credit limit for this.
"New HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank DCB credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 5 lakhs credit limit for this.

If your already have a HDFC Bank credit card, then you have to upgrade your existing card to Infinia/DCB,
For Upgrade To Infinia-
1. You need minimum 8 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, fill up and attach credit card upgrade form with the email.

For Upgrade To DCB-
1. You need minimum 5 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, attach card upgrade form with the email.

Update- HDFC Bank asking for 10 lakhs limit on your existing credit card for infinia upgrade.



So, don't be surprised if hdfc bank ask you for 10L limit.

I got an increase in my credit limit from 613000 to 20L for my regalia gold today. So I am assuming I meet the CL requirement for infinia. How much do I need to spend approximately to qualify? and how long do I need to wait before asking for an upgrade ?

If you really need it, talk to your RM and take it via him to get upgraded. If it doesn’t help, just buy it yourself….. There won’t be any difference in the premiums that you pay….

Zero spends not even a single rupee for almost 8 months before that may be around 3-4K per month max. It was LTF so I just have it just in case. I usually put my spends on my other cards which gives me better benefits.

I've already done that but HDFC RM seems to be least interested in ERGO insurance. He starts off with ULIP and pension plans so much that it is irritating. I ended up going to Ditto for advice.

Chances are almost nil.

That said, you'll never succeed in doing anything, unless you try.

You already meet the credit limit criteria.
You can try when your 6 months spends cross 7.5L.

If 6 months since last card and 8 lakhs spend in those 6 months coincide then no reason not to try.

I finally got the upgrade after sending another email to hdfc after the 6th month statement is generated. Looks like I needed to wait till the bill is generated.

I just had to share my consent. The whole process took 3 days.

I mailed them stating that I have a bigger purchase coming up and would need 10-11 L as limit to do that purchase, and gave the story of my relationship with HDFC for past 9 years.

They responded that it will be considered and asked me to share last 3 months salary slips and account statement.
