DCB How to get HDFC Diners Club Credit Card Life Time Free

Hello Everyone,

HDFC Bank runs a special Diners Institute Program for the people who have either completed their education from the list of institutes mentioned below link or are part of the Club mentioned in the below link:

List of Eligible Institute & Club Link: Link

Under this program, you are eligible for a Diners Club Credit Card on Life Time Free basis. The card variant depends upon your Salary and Card Limit. (As updated by the Bank person the eligibility has been relaxed a little on 21-Dec-2022)

1. For the Diners Club Black variant you need to have a Monthly salary of more than 1.45L

2. If you do not meet the above criteria and still your Institute is part of the above list you will be given the Diners Club Privilege variant

3. If you are a final year student studying in any of the above-mentioned colleges, the Card against your institute name will be provided to you as Life Time Free

The process to Apply:

Long Process:

1. mail to priorityredressal.creditcards@hdfcbank.com along with the name of the Institute or Club

2. They will revert back and ask you to apply on the following link: https://v.hdfcbank.com/htdocs/common/dinersblackinstitute/index.html after which in a couple of days someone from HDFC Bank will reach out to you

3. You need to submit your Degree Certificat / Club Membership Proof, Last three-month Salary Slip, and Bank account statement in which your Salary was credited

Short Proces:

With the consent of the person from HDFC bank who reached out to me, I am sharing their number so you can directly get in touch with them and they will help you with the application.

I have mailed pno (with cc to priority reddressal and Grievance)with a strong worded letter suggesting to reconsider else have no option but to move business to other banks that value more.( knowing fully well that i wont even if they still reject😜) but thought no harm playing around . Any thing else to addon if there is further exchange of mails?thanks

I think you shouldn't have brought PNO for now.
Grievances was the best option for upgrading CC.

I recently took Millenia LTF.. they sent Visa while I asked for Diners.
They were ready to send me Diners Millenia within a week of receiving the card.
Tell them it's only a franchise change.

Already mailed to Grievance Team. Waiting to get LTF confirmation. Then I will request for Diners.

I just received it now and I noticed it is not.

Mine is. Got the card last year in August. I have seen a flat design too not sure if it's the new one or the bank randomly decides between the two

and what is the name of said card in HDFC app and netbanking?
I noticed in HDFC app and Netbanking that the name of said DCB is "New Diners Black Card Dom".

I applied through this person. I had a Tata Neu HDFC LTF card. She told me to close that and apply for diners. After a week, I got update and my diners application was declined and now I don't have the tata neu card as well. Any suggestions on what can be done ?

why would you close co-branded existing card in the first place? That too LTF and TATA NEU Infinity I'm assuming here! you can re-open a closed card within 30 days i have read in one thread/post. @VISHESH_BANSAL @4uziaul am I right or wrong? cause I remember reading in one post but not sure though about the implementation.

I have also come across the information that a closed card can be reopened within 30 days, but I haven't personally experienced it. However, the OP should not have trusted that HDFC executive blindly since they often say anything to meet their targets. 🤣

You really trust that guy ?
It is HDFC who allows only one Credit Card and now giving Tata neu as second card. And only a few have more than 1 core Card

Now Apply afresh again for any Card.

Closed can be reactivated in SBI.

You can try your luck in case of HDFC.

She told me that either wait for 6 months to apply for Diners under institute program or cancel this now, then Get Diners and later on reapply for NEU or any other HDFC. What is the procedure to reapply a closed card for HDFC ? Also, do they provide a reason when declining cards ?
