How to get HDFC Infinia ( or DCB maybe) on C2C basis?

Hello Everyone,

Is there a way to get HDFC Infinia Credit card without having any relationship with the bank? I was recently told that I can get it on C2C basis, given I've super Premium cards from other banks. If not Infinia, I'd like to have DCB that can provide a path to Infinia in future. Currently, I've Axis Reserve, Axis Atlas, Axis Vistara Infinite, an offer for ICICI Emerald card and KOTAK White Card. Can I go to hdfc branch and directly apply for Infinia or DCB. Also I used to have beginner level HDFC card till few months back.
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: So the card has been approved yesterday, almost after a month and it'll be delivered within 3 working days. Now the only thing to be seen is if it's Infinia or something else that gets delivered. However, I'm going to get a confirmation from customer care about the same today.

Confirmed, it's Infinia Metal card, not delivered yet but it's visible in HDFC mycards app. Thanks everyone for pitching in and giving your valuable suggestions.

UPDATE: Card got delivered yesterday. It's a Master Card, thinking about getting the VISA version. Thanks everyone for pitching in.

Yes, you can get Infinia card without any relationship with the bank. But not on C2C basis, you will have to provide salary slips with a net salary of more than 2.7L.

OR

You can use your Axis card to apply for DCB on C2C basis (Assuming you have limit more than 5L)

@timva Thanks for responding. My net salary is 2.6 per month and I do have 3 different cards with limit =>10 L. I'm already thinking about closing ICICI and Kotak (Also Axis Reserve, don't think it's that much value after the devaluations). So, I can approach the hdfc branch directly for applying, right? I spoke to the customer care and they did not have any answers.

Infinia no ,DCB yes ,but you need a motivated bank employee to help you out,

Unlike other banks ,HDFC is very stingy with their Premium (Reg Gold) and Super Premium Cards (Infinia & DCB) and doesn't give it away easily ,infact they use it as a laverage to make you take their other(less rewarding) Financial products and services

While it's not impossible for you to get Infinia with your profile, as mentioned by @Swastik you'll need someone at your side preferably from your nearest branch.

Check if you can open an account with good IP or do some FDs (remember to politely refuse if they try selling you ulips or other investments).

I'll tell you my personal experience:
I had to anyways open HDFC account for CC bill cashbacks so opted for directly opening an Imperia Account (They also have something which lets you choose your own account number and they get a good incentive for that)

My Infinia application was initially declined due to some address verification issue but the branch CC agent looped in the ASM and got my card approved.

While it's not necessary to do any of it, if you give them business, they'll ensure that you get the card in your hand.

Which company are you in?

Thanks for the information. I'll try to find someone in HDFC who can help. Else, will try for DCB that can later be upgraded.

True, let's see what options they give in order to get the card. However, I'm not interested in any new investments right now but will consider if they offer any

DCB should almost be guaranteed with your profile. And don't bother with infinia if its too much hassle. The benefits it has over DCB are the network and smartbuy caps, the reward rate is technically the same everywhere. And considering you stated employment at Deutsche Bank, the network issue will most likely not be a problem considering they mostly open branches in metro areas. If they do infact ask you to invest anything, just get a short term FD without any lock in.

You can also try searching the threads for any reference point for a HDFC Employee. It could help you save some time since you don't sound like you want any extended relationship with the bank apart from credit cards.

Sounds right, I want the card for rewards only. I'd be happy with DCB as well.

Yes, you can take DCB and when you hit 7.5L spends in 6 months you can ask for upgrade to Infinia. Also, I guess if you push them hard enough they will give Infinia from the first go.

How does this Axis thing work without salary slip? I have Amex card with 5L+ limit, is this going to work?

It's not limited just to Axis cards. Just walk into any of the HDFC branch and ask the CC guy that you want to apply for DCB Card via C2C. You will have to submit statement of your other card and some more documents. This process can only be done offline.

Congrats in advance🎉
Just make sure to regularly follow up with the guy regarding your application until you receive the card.
Yes. Anyways I will chase them to hurry up, I'm going out of town for a couple of months in 10 days. Need to get things done before that. And guess it'll be farewell to Axis Reserve unless they do a revaluation and add some benefits.
