How to get ICICI SAPPHIRO AMEX?

Dear all,

I received a pre-approved ICICI SAPPHIRO Master card last year. At the time it was issued, Amex was banned from issuing any new cards, therefore I received only the master variant. I was informed that once the ban gets lifted, the Amex variant would automatically be offered too. Like before, when they were usually issued as twin cards [Master + Amex] prior to the Amex ban.

It would be helpful if you could kindly help me with the following queries:

1. a)Has ICICI begun offering Amex Variant?

b). If so, how does one go about applying for it or would it be offered automatically?

ICICI is not issuing cards in either AMEX or MC as of now. It's highly unlikely that they'd go back to AMEX variant, as they've already started devaluing their Emeralde AMEX variant.

I had a word with ICICI WM phone banking personnel regarding the same. She mentioned that ICICI has not yet rebegun offering Amex variant. Though, according to her, after the ban on Master was lifted, ICICI has rebegun issuing Master variant as CC but not as DC.

Very unlikely, but there was someone in this community who upgraded paid Sapphiro to LTF Emeralde on a pre-approved offer basis and that's the only way
Or you need a very high NRV for LTF Emeralde

2. By virtue of holding a Wealth Management account, can one ask for an Emeralde LTF?

3. Approximately how much NRV are we talking about for Emeralde LTF?

a) Apart from savings/current account balance, what else does ICICI count as NRV?

b) Does ICICI count credit card usage and home loan as NRV too?

The person who got pre-approved offer mentioned that he spent over 25 lakhs in less than 1 year. Again pre-approved are subject to luck and there is no guarantee that you can get an Emeralde as LTF because till date no one else has received in Technofino community

2. By virtue of holding a Wealth Management account, can one ask for an Emeralde LTF?
One can try but it is very difficult to get Emeralde as LTF, else every private banking customer of ICICI would hold one, they give FYF on Wealth select accounts.

3. Approximately how much NRV are we talking about for Emeralde LTF?
Shubhankar da mentioned it in crores. Like 2 to 3 crores maybe, not sure. You will have to confirm with branch official. Also, Customer care of ICICI is not eligible to give any LTF CCs. Only branch officials are eligible after approvals.

a) Apart from savings/current account balance, what else does ICICI count as NRV?
FD, RD, mutual fund, stocks are all counted in NRV in ICICI

b) Does ICICI count credit card usage and home loan as NRV too?
Not sure.

Then maybe, they are not issuing Master DC for customers who have not been issued Master DC in the past. Did you renew your card or were you issued the Master variant for the first time?

Please mention the Master card variant that you received, and also the type of ICICI Bank account for which it was issued.
