How to use Amex MRCC card with HP pay app?!

Hi, I have a doubt as to how to use Amex MRCC card for fuel purchase at HP pumps to gain maximum advantage?!
As a novice who just got the card I don't know how to go about it.
Use card directly or through HP pay app?!
As I usually use Samsung pay to tap with all my other cards, amex is not approved in Samsung wallet, is there any way to tokenize the card for use with NFC?!

HP PAY is nightmare. SO ONLY ADD FUNDS WHEN YOU ARE SURE & use instantly: as for some reason there is some HIDDEN AGENDA on HP Pay usage at HP Filling stations.

On 1st try, Always load Rs10 (or wahtever token amount) to wallet & then go to the HP Filling station asking for HP Pay availability & see if it works.

Remember even attendants will say YES & then show a dummy/invalid QR code for formality but upon scanning it will yield nothing & the HP Pay app will stay stuck.

Sometimes on 2nd visit to the same validated the HP Pump will say the guy with QR code is is on break, or share dummy code, or they do not support payment by PAYCODE & publicly displayed QR codes are dead anyway.

So best bet is is to follow these steps; REASON BEING AMEX IS NOT ACCEPTED AT ANY FIILING STATION AS USUAL:
1.Go early morning or when less traffic
2.Park your vehicle far way
3.ask for HP Pay QR code,
4. Scan the code & see if it actually proceeds on HP Pay App & then you can either add to wallet & pay directly as amex fees = 1% for both

5. Put the exact amount of fuel needed in Step 4 & bring ur car to fill up

Try and let us know next time

Tried to take fuel again at the HP pump where I was able to pay via fastag, using the Drive Track Plus machine last time.
This time the idea was to use HP Pay app.

Scanned a QR code on which HP pay was written. It didnt work. The station staff then showed me another HP Pay QR code, and that also didnt work. All times it said couldnt find the station code.
But was able to see option to pay via fastag after scanning QR code. So that means fastag is linked properly to HP Pay.

Not sure why the station code was not found after scanning. Could possibly be a network issue at that point of time or as @paxauquabriba-4876 says about mis-management by the staff.
Definitely we should not add money in the HP Pay wallet. It could get stuck.

If I get success in future with HP Pay app, will report here.

Fastag is showing in the payment page. What's the problem then?

For me it's working fine.

Today tried to pay via fastag on HP Pay app, at a different fuel station.
It worked fine and transaction went through smoothly.

So the issue of using HP Pay is related to some fuel stations only.

Here is how I utilize MRCC for fuel:
1. Buy amazon pay voucher from amex reward multiplier with MRCC(2x points)
2. Recharge icici fastag with apay.
3. Pay at pump using HP pay scan a pay with fastag option

This way I get 2x rewards on my fastag as well as fuel expense. If you pay directly via card at pump, you wont get any reward point.
Have you used this method recently? I’ve come across multiple reports in other discussions indicating that ICICI has discontinued fuel payments via its FASTag. If this is still functional, I would switch to an ICICI FASTag.
