I redeemed this voucher from Tata neu on hp petrol pump, and it worked.
Luckily the person on pump was patient enough to try through multiple permutations that I asked him to do on the machine.
There is one video someone attached on this thread it was somewhat helpful in redeeming this voucher. Steps were same but interface was different.
Also I had to enter “CARD PIN” from the email to redeem this voucher.
Apart from this I am wondering when 5% amount will be credited? Whether it will be as part of statement or how?

It can not be added on hp pay, these vouchers are issued differently.
Service person gave the machine to me as i wqs entering gv code and it was not working.... so I took the machine and entered card pin which is alphaa numeric code...worked
It was paytm pos machine.. it was similar to the Video... but exactly same..
Click on Transactions.. after that pay code redemption..and enter card pin and amount.. redeem
Worked fine... redeemed 5 codes...

Finally got to redeem it. It seems not all Paytm POS have this feature, and they keep on going to Merchant Services instead of Transactions for Paycode option.
In merchant services its only 8 digits, they don't listen at all. Then in transactions they keep on trying to enter card number instead of PIN, they think its only numbers not alphanumeric, after so much of convincing I had them successfully follow the steps and still they took my phone number incase it fails, after printing receipts mind you.
Not ready to give me the POS and treating me as headache, and asked me to use HP Pay app which doesn't work in this case😭

Wait for 2-3 days and try. Similar experience I have faced last Monday.
Yesterday I redeemed my voucher using CARD PIN - ALPHANUMERIC CODE at HP pump, make sure you do transaction within 60 sec otherwise you will be thrown out.

I decided to try today itself and approached another fuel pump with confidence. While they had an idea, I guided them to the right option and gave the PIN instead of card number. I could use up ₹1000 in one attempt. I don't know if entering it within 60 seconds made the difference or it was some glitch yesterday. Thanks a lot, @vchouksey80
