HSBC Enters the Game – Accelerated Rewards Travel Portal Now Live!

I did a flight booking for 117000 using Travel One on their Travel with points portal. And looks like I got points in 3 line items

Base 1 - 2340 (2% base RPs) (2/100*11700)
Base 2 - 2340 (additional 2% for travel)
Accelerated -12000

Shouldn't the accelerated have been 16%-4%? 12%=14040? Where did the 2040 points go? I don't see any mention of 12000 point cap for travel one.
Email HSBC customer care until your monthly cap is reached for any other bookings.
How many days did it take for the reward points to appear in your account?
Were the ticket prices competitive compared to other travel aggregators?
Do you think booking through HSBC/Hopper is worth it?

no mention of epicure 12k voucher i think 20k points more than compensates for the joining fees
Yes this looks really good + after 1 year we can decide if we want to keep it.
Is there some benefit on travel one as well or only premier got this new benefit?

Sorry bro I didn’t get you. Like we can ask them to send the new card design and thereby get the points? I feel I’m expecting too much 😂 pls explain
points you wont get, but if u like the new design u can get that for free.. personally i like the old one for now..

Just got the card this week, so no other spends on Rewards Portal. I'll mail them now. I see no other mention of 12k cap anywhere else. If true this brings out the cap to be 1lakh for flights and 60k for hotels via their portal. Sure reward rate is higher but cap is half or more than Atlas.

I found the portal decent. I was getting same price in OTAs and Airline site. Some airlines are too overpriced, so important to cross check before booking. One positive I would say over Smartbuy/Travel edge etc is that we can book different fare class. Nowadays most flights have cabin only even in International flights. This make Infinia/Atlas via own portal only useful for domestic to me where this is not a common problem.

When moving out of bank's own portal, forex markup is a downer with Atlas and even though it's the same with HSBC T1 atleast it gives some bonus 2% for OTA bookings which can actually making it comparable to Atlas. Added advantage is the offers running for Cleartip, Yatra etc with HSBC coupon codes which can make some spends achieve 4% via rewards plus 10% via coupon codes to get you a not too bad of a deal. Again haven't booked with OTAs yet as I have no confidence if the 50k bonus points also will come now 🙂

Does HSBC Premier make sense for someone who has ICICI-EPM and not a big traveler? I would need to shift my Salary account to get this.. so its a hassle

i got more than 16% on my first transaction of 74.2k - https://technofino.in/community/thr...rds-travel-portal-now-live.43599/post-1113112
for the second transaction of 55k in the same month, i got exactly 16% -> 2+2+12

So you managed to get 16% (in fact more than that) for ~1.3L spends. I think the 18k cap should be on just the 12% part which then allows us to book till 1.5L on flights.

But the math is wrong for me though. For travel portal you got more than 12% extra, I got like 10% (in total <16%). I have yet to write them a mail.

did anyone get confirmation if we can hold both the premier and travel one to get accelerated points on both?
