ICICI Bank Account for Credit Card

Hi,

I've been wanting to get a Credit Card from ICICI Bank, I've tried 2-3 times to no avail, I don't have salary slip right now, and so I'm thinking of opening an account in ICICI Bank to get Credit Card offers, just like I opened an account in HDFC Bank (started getting credit card offers, yet to apply) at the start of this year. I have around 1L lying around in my bank account which I'll pay Credit Card bill later.

So, my question was, should I open zero balance account in ICICI or regular saving account with 10K MAB? Asking from pre-approved offers perspective. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more inclined towards zero balance account, but if it hinders me from getting Credit Card offers, I'd happily take 10K MAB regular savings account.

Not sure if it's approved or not lol. And as I said, I'm not in town right now, does my current location matter? Or should I only do video KYC once I'm back at my home, which might take a week

Just need to be present in india at time of vkyc

You don't need to be there at current address. Can do kyc from anywhere.

Thanks for the info, also one more thing, the Amazon was screaming "No income docs are needed" and here I got this email, shall I ignore and just proceed to do KYC?

Yeah you can ignore.. (read comments on forum that people ignored this mail but some got rejected) so still 50-50

ICICI won't give pre approved that easily 🤣 even if you maintain high NRV.

It took a week for whole process. Got nice kit on 7th day with DC.

Netbanking and app is bit glitchy compared to HDFC but have lot of options and definitely better than other banks.

Using it as my primary account now. Lets see how it goes.

I think 0 balance may provide you CC but it can take lot of time whereas 10k amb can get offers in 6-7 months. Still ask the experts

So they asked me for the reason why my communication address isn't same right now, told them I'm in my village right now; came to meet my grandma

Did you get any communication from ICICI about your application ?

Amazon ICICI doesn't ask income proof, so you can go wild.
