ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = â‚ą1.

Redemption Options:

  • Flight Booking: You can pay 100% of the order value using reward points.
  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = â‚ą1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

yes TimesBlack >> Paid EPVC for sure. RR calculations don't lie but not sure if one can get to EPM through TimesBlack. Although, even EPVC cannot enure EPM upgrade since it is an invite only card just like DCB to Infinia upgrade is very difficult.
I had EPVC for 2 years, made more than 20-30 lakhs spend each year and still no pre approved offers came, so EPVC to EPM isn't any sure shot.

Wow, that's quite shocking. Although I think ICICI has been applying very inconsistent criterias for the EPM card across different branches and locations.

If you are a HNI with good relationship with ICICI, maybe you can get it via contacting BM, I will do it once my TimesBlack is due for renewal

I spoke to my BM about EPM and he was saying that they haven't been able to get approvals even for people with TRV in 5-10Cr range :man-shrugging:

then your BM is lazy, if someone is into credit card's game and have a TRV of 5-10crore with the bank, he won't hear no to a card, either he gets the card or he gets the TRV to another bank for their top of the line card(like m4b or Infinia)

lol then one should better take Timesblack if there is no surety at all to get EPM from EPVC. Maybe through Timesblack it will be possibe to get EPM when it is time to renew and your spends are good.

There is no sure shot, I even saw written in this community about closing epvc gets him epm asap

It's crap & plain lie by BM.

First of all you dont need that much TRV in reality for EPM. It's only official criteria.

You just need approx 10 L limit on your existing ICICI credit card & a good BM who values HNI/UHNI customers. Give some business to them in terms of FD ( not secured ), open few new wealth account for family/friends with decent IP.

I got this way last year. Plain & simple.

I have a Sapphiro with 25L limit, 3L+ net salary credit per month and had 35L in savings with ICICI and yet they said that they wouldn't be able to get approval for EPM. And it doesn't seem to be a lie either because I threatened to move all my business to HDFC and they still didn't budge (I did eventually move everything over to HDFC).

Your BM just didn't wanted to try enough for your EPM. No other reason in my opinion. Because you fulfilled all criteria required. Having good BM is rare & blessing.

Try moving all things to rural branch and then ask that BM, They are mostly free & will handle your request smoothly

Current Portfolio - I currently hold ICICI Sapphiro (for ICICI bank CC offers on ecom portals), APay (for spends on Amazon after I have exhausted my Smartbuy limits), Coral Rupay (for UPI spends) all LTF from ICICI Bank. Times Black pre-approved with special invite from my RM also visible in app (didnt proceed with the application though). Account vintage more than 15 years, but don't hold much balance here (most liquid funds are parked in IDFC - get 7.25% interest). Also, have DCB Metal (Mainly for Smartbuy vouchers) as LTF and Axis Magnus for Burgundy.

EPM was visible as an upgrade option until last week (which is not showing now for some reason). With all the new rewards portal, ICICI seems to be back in the game. Called up my RM, EPM applied with fees of 12,500 + GST. You get 12,500 as iCash so net spend is GST (Rs 2,250). I would be able to recover this with Apay vouchers in the first month. Will hold card till 11 moths and decide to continue or not, basis deval if any.

Also, since I would have DCB and EPM both - I would be left with some Apay vouchers limit every month,

Would like to know if any more ways to optimize. Happy to help any fellow members with Hotel / Flight booking, will share the discount.

Edit 1 - EPM is available as FYF with 4 lakhs of net salary credit every month (possible) and LTF with 20 lakhs of net salary credit every month. (Hardly a few people would be eligible but for sure most people can try for FYF).

Further, dream to have Infinia now will be put on hold with this development (Was already on track in terms of spend this year and actually had missed the opportunity to get Infinia LTF as my application was submitted in mid Oct 24 and rules had changed starting from Oct24 (Got DCB Metal as LTF in its place).
