It's privilege. Opened it two weeks back on the basis of 4L+ limit on Apay ICICI CC

Ok, you will easily get ICICI RuPay Debit card through ICICI customer care number.

No need to tell them RuPay Platinum variant.

On how to open this. There's no clear concrete opinion. You have done this so if you can,
do share your experience

Went to the bank
Told them I wanted to open privilege account
They told me I need to maintain 1L AMB
I told them I have a credit card with 4L limit
Manager says, “So?”
Showed her the picture on icici site that mentions you can get the acc with 4L cc limit icici card
She goes alright alright you can open one but you have to fund 1L
I said alright
They opened the acc
They didn’t bother about the initial funding of 1L
But i funded it anyway

Does it work as a ncmc card, is there a wallet we can control from their app ?

Did anyone try this? Is the NCMC feature working for this card? Can funds be added to the offline wallet through the imobile app?

So I already had the Rupay Platinum debit card but it didn't have contactless feature in it and so wanted the gold platinum one.
Instead of calling the customer care, I just opened the imobile app and went to debit card section and clicked on reissue debit card. They created a service request and issued me a new rupay Platinum card and in the app I'm able to see the new card details and the bin range corresponds to Gold platinum 652336 so I guess it's all good.
Awaiting the delivery of the physical card now. Will check if the NCMC functionality can be enabled somehow.

Got the card delivered today through Speed post. It has the NCMC logo printed behind it.
