ICICI Emerald Metal LTF & DCB Metal LTF

After failed attempts to get my hands on Emarald metal LTF, I am planning to go for paid version only ( for my card collection) since annual fees will be mostly recovered via redeeming via vouchers. Any of you has any idea is it possible to get LTF? Also how many of you have got the Emarald Metal (paid or LTF both).

Why am I still optimistic about getting this card LTF despite bank officials saying on face that LTF is not possible? Because HDFC bank officials said LTF DCB Metal is also not possible. But after some effort I managed too get DCB metal LTF.

It could be repetitive for you.. but did you get LTF converted later on or it was LTF at the time of issuance? My RM saying that LTF can't be done post issuance.

There are something’s we don’t hear frequently doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t happen

Hey @Shroud , Sorry I couldn't respond. The problem that occurred is from my zone. They stopped giving LTF. Earlier, they had some quota and zonal heads were approving. But Shortly after, they became strict. So my RM said he won't be able to process LTF till quotas come again. I haven't heard from him since that they are accepting LTF again. I could not even repeat the same for my own brother-in-law. He also had to get FYF. So was waiting to hear from him since for LTF again but I don't think it will happen again. It's been months now. Sorry guys. But based on what I saw, these rules and guidelines change from time to time and zone to zone. My Zone was Ranchi (Jharkhand). So we can try some other zone.

I stil have 38 requests pending... What should I tell? Earlier my RM said he would be happy to help. But after he got guidelines from above he is not entertaining LTF anymore. If you guys still want the contact I can send but he said upfront it won't be possible as of now. And the answer has been same from him since last few months. Sorry guys I tried following multiple times so that I could reply back with a good news. But my zone sucks now.
@Shroud Will dm you the details. Negotiate with him once, if you are able to get exact criteria you can help us with that (including my own brother-in-law) 🙁

Hey, @violetevergarden It’s okay if you’re not able to get those people to get LTF DCB metals for our fellow members. You should’ve atleast given a Disclaimer in the thread that the same person is unable to issue LTF currently. (No one would feel bad as we all know HDFC works in mysterious ways) but you left the thread open ended and many members were awaiting your response.

You’ve given clarification only after I mentioned you- you should’ve done it earlier yourself.

I saw the details you shared but it would be pointless for me to talk and negotiate with them for DCB metal LTF as I’ve already got an Infinia for myself.

Also few people have succeeded with Infinia (paid) directly by mailing to Chennai credit card department once spend based criteria was met.
