I also ported my annual pass from ICICI to IDFC.

Already got sms from IDFC for 3k payment confirmation (for port).

But railmarg app still shows icici logo for annual pass. Same issue you have?

I am also facing this issue from ICICI Fastag. Last year also they had disabled fuel payment for all users. Now again. I am also thinking of moving to some other service provider.

Sad to see so many guys having issue with ICICI kyv.
I did KYV in July, only issue I faced was I had taken inside photo with dashboard visible and hence tag no wasn’t readable, their guidelines show like that. A reupload did fix this. But for a day they disabled my fastag, which is ridiculous.

I do like that I can easily speak to some real person on call in icici fastag though.

Recently all FASTag users were asked to complete KYV (Know Your Vehicle) verification. Just like we do KYC for bank accounts, now we have to complete KYV for our FASTag.
Fair enough. No issues with the requirement.

They asked for:

1. Car front photo showing the number plate
2. Side profile photo
3. FASTag sticker backside photo (taken from inside the car)
4. Car RC copy

All good. I uploaded everything.

But where is the real issue?
It’s with one particular FASTag provider. And it's none other than… yes… ICICI Bank.

I have been an ICICI FASTag user for a long time. The main reason many of us chose ICICI FASTag was simple. It allowed us to buy fuel at HPCL fuel stations and pay directly using the FASTag balance.
This was a big convenience for me and many others in the community.

Now let me explain the pain.

I uploaded all KYV documents well before the deadline.
Everything was submitted before 20th October 2025.

But till 15th November 2025, ICICI Bank neither verified my documents nor bothered to check anything.
KYV was still pending.
And it’s not just me. This is happening with a majority of ICICI FASTag customers.

On top of that, ICICI Bank disabled fuel payment for users who hadn’t completed KYV.
And they did this even before the official deadline.
So we were stuck. No fuel payment, no verification, no action.

And then comes the funniest part.

On 30th November 2025, NHAI simplified the KYV process and posted on Twitter that customers now need to upload only one thing to complete KYV.
Just the car front image showing the number plate.
Nothing else.
No side profile images.
No FASTag backside photos.
No unnecessary documents.

But ICICI Bank, and many other FASTag issuers, are still forcing customers to upload the old set of documents.
Side profile image, inside photo, RC copy… the whole junk list.
Basically they are ignoring the updated NHAI guidelines completely.

Out of pure frustration, on 14th November, I bought an IDFC FIRST Bank FASTag.
IDFC also supports fuel payments through FASTag, just like ICICI.

On 15th November, I placed a closure request for my ICICI FASTag.
It went into “Pending Closed” status on 19th November, 2025

My biggest worry was my active annual pass.
I didn’t want to lose it.

But the moment my ICICI FASTag showed “Pending Closed”, the Port Annual Pass option appeared on the Rajmarg yatra app.
I clicked on “Port Now”.

And boom… the annual pass instantly got linked to my new IDFC FASTag.

Super smooth. Exactly how it should be.


Personal Learning:
Never rely on ICICI Bank for any product.
Their systems are slow, support is clueless, and customers suffer for no fault of theirs.

If you’re stuck with ICICI FASTag and facing KYV issues, don’t think twice.
Move to a better provider.
IDFC FASTag is working flawlessly for me so far.

I was planning to buy ICICI FastTag due to their best portal and service 🙂. I have requested to close my IDBI bank fastTag which was provided by showroom as they might be having tied up with bank.
- Due to broken front glass, I went to IDBI bank branch as the don't have online reissue of FastTag option which ICICI has.
- They asked me to bring Aadhaar, PAN, RC, FastTag photo print and write one application.
- I wrote application and shown them original documents and asked them to scan, but they refused. Typical Government bank, no wonder why government is planning to make this bank private by selling all stocks.
- As they asked to me bring xerox of all document, thinking this service will be same in future I decided to close IDBI FastTag and buy ICICI.

But, post reading this thread I have second thoughts now.
Which bank should I choose now HDFC, IDFC or other?

Need to good FastTag portal and reissue and other services online.

I echo the same sentiments. KYV pics uploaded from portal, no response for 10 days and it continued showing approval pending.

For ICICI customer care to connect to a human it takes more than 20 mins. Rep says pictures are not accurate as edge of side mirror is not clear. Asked to re-upload. After re-upload portal did not generate any acknowledgement neither did allow to redo the process.

After a few days I connected again. 20 mins later rep tells me no new document is uploaded but the old one shall work. I asked when, no answer. Escalated on twitter same. In next two days KYV approved.

I believe this problem has started ever since ICICI has launched separate portal for Fast tag users. You cant launch an half baked product.

Found this gem of a rule in the icici fastag inbox - If you raise a fastag dispute if it's not ruled in your favour , Rs 590 will be deducted as penalty - totally pathetic!

Update: Today I used my IDFC FIRST Bank FASTag for the first time after poarting the Annual Pass. The Annual Pass is working perfectly on the IDFC FIRST Bank FASTag. All toll crossings were deducted from the Annual Pass quota.

I had a similar experience with IDFC Fastag. It was around 2 years back when they suddenly blacklisted my Fastag. When I called the helpline they said I need to do KYC. When I submitted the documents they didn't do it. Ultimately I had to submit a complaint at NCH and after that IDFC Fastag team replied that out off generosity they are whitlisting my fastag.
