ICICI missed payment, report cibil?

I accidentally missed a payment of Rs 1000 from 21000 on my ICICI coral credit card last month. I got interest + GST charges this month.
As a goodwill and old customer, ICICI customer agreed to waive my interest (only) from my credit card.
Will it still report to Credit Beauro (cibil)? Can I do something to remove this from my credit history? Should I email ICICI to not report this ?

Yes, you can do

Generally they wouldn't report it as you are an old customer having no delay payment history

If they report then mail ICICI with your credit report and request them to remove same. They will remove it.

If you have paid more than minimum amount due on/before due date then they won't report it to any credit bureaus.

If you have paid minimum amount due of total bill before due date
Then it won't be reported as late payment.
Remaining amount maybe reflected in overdue but not as late payment

So if u paid minimum amount due . There is no late payment reporting.

Will not affect your CIBIL

Late payment won't be reported, instead it might be reported as OVERDUE amount of 1000. Even overdue impacts CIBIL and if ICICI decides to report it then then your CIBIL will be impacted.

I had the same use case and ICICI reported to CIBIL (800 RS) after the second month miss. My CIBIL dropped from 803 to 737, raised a ticket with them. They said it will take 2 months for the CIBIL update to reflect.

What was the amount due and how much you missed?
800 RS + GST was the missed amount. I missed it in total as I was not using ICICI cards at all and didnt realise that I have to make this payment until I saw CIBIL report after the monthly refresh on gpay and realised what happened. Got to know with this that ICICI reports to CIBIL after missing payment for 2 statment cycles.

The above case is not in total he paid more than minimum amount so there won't be any late fee. only interest and gst for the amount he didn't pay and there won't be any cibil drop 😅

Yes correct, only for no payments for 2 statement cycles they report to CIBIL. I can confirm this with my personal experience 😜

I'm saying if your total amount to be paid is 100/- and you missed 100/- then it will be reported on cibil.
But if you pay MAD (Minimum amount Due) which is 5% of total amount and you paid 5/- then ICICI won't report it as "Missed payment" as you paid MAD.

Now let me tell you about those 2 statement cycles.
Your ICICI credit card statement closes on the 10th of each month. This means they calculate your total balance due as of that date and report it to CIBIL on 10th
You have until the 24th to make your full payment. If you don't pay by then, your late payment will be reported to CIBIL during their next update cycle which is next month 10th.
And Cibil takes 20 to 30 days to update it in your reports.

No bank will report to credit rating agency if the Minimum Due Amount is paid before the due date. It might be reported as due amount but not as payment missed.

Any credit card payment missed (delinquency) is only reported if the MAD is missed or payment is less than that.
In case MAD (5% of total dues plus EMIs in full) is paid there won't be any CIBIL impact.
Otherwise for those who revolves the credit card dues by only paying MAD their CIBIL score will be in negative.

Btw banks love customers who pay MAD , this way they generate interest income.
