IDFC Bank Upgrading Select Credit Card to Wealth Credit Card for Selected Customers

IDFC started upgrading IDFC Select Credit Card to IDFC Wealth Credit Card on request.

Process:

- Call to customer care.
- Tell them that you want to upgrade Select CC to Wealth CC.
- They will deny saying that Wealth CC has a minimum floor CL of 5L and we cannot upgrade.
- Inform that you've been using your select card well for the past 3-6 months.
- They will deny again (If possible).
- Then tell that many of our friends are getting it upgraded to Wealth CC from Select CC.
- They will take the request for upgrade.


-Within 1 working day the request has been processed to Wealth CC.



Note:

1. We have tried 3 cards within our friends and family circle and all have been approved.
2. All the members are having CL more than 2L (So not sure of Select cards <2L Credit limit).
3. I have Wealth account.

Update at 9pm on 30-07-2024: Seems Savings account needed for this trick. (Wealth Worked for me and Select worked for my friend)

How do I get IDFC wealth now'

People who don't have IDFC savings or salary account find it impossible to upgrade to Wealth, even without limit increase

-5L Credit Limit on Existing IDFC CC

-Existing IDFC Credit card -> Holding IDFC Wealth Account -> Upgrade to IDFC Wealth CC

Bro what about the MAB requirement. Since I got the account as zero balance

- Metro Branches ask for 10L for wealth savings account and 3L for select savings account (10K minimum balance account is fine).

- Tier 2 cities they will accept for 5L for wealth and 2L for select based on RM and BM support (10K MAB account is fine).

Yes each add on gets its separate BOGO quota, I have 2 primary wealth and 2 add ons

Approval is almost instant maximum time taken is 1 day as it's an add on card
Card details will be available in the primary card holders profile as well as the add on holders profile

Seems Delhi Arrival lounge has been halted to Wealth Debit and Wealth CC.



Yesterday I saw Arrival lounge open, but due to short time I couldn’t check the access. But on DF page they’re saying temporarily closed. @jetesh confirm this.

After converting to wealth credit card, tried for limit enhancement but IDFC denied even though there is an increase in income😋. They’re asking to wait for 6 months. Actually my select cc is 4.5 months old.
