IDFC First Bank Launched its Debit Card Reward System

Another datapoint here - My account is a few years old and I have already gotten the Welcome bonus points etc on some transactions after July 14. A transaction on Cheq on Aug 7 showed as "Pos-Visa/Cheq/<txnid>" which got reward points. Another transaction I made on Sept 1 shows as "Cheq" and has not yet gotten reward points.
IDFC in-app customer care chat had no idea about the MCC and said they would revert back but I doubt they will. Maybe now they have implemented the merchant categorization to restrict points on Cheq payments as mentioned in the TnC for CC bill payments.
I have also made a Mobikwik CC billpay txn today (shows as "One Mobikwik System") to check if that gets points as I have a big CC billpayment coming up.

Do let us know if it gets posted. Untill a month back cheq cred were all generating points. I thing the restriction has been enforced rather strictly now

But the Welcome points for 1st txn are credited only after 30 days if I anticipate the previous posts correctly.
I haven't done vkyc and made some txns on 31st Aug on mobi.. and received both regular and bonus points for all of them.
However couldn't understand their monthly limit of 1L on non kyc accounts, does it apply for the calendar month or 30 days cycle from the last txn done.

Same thing i had to do yesterday for first txn points.. i got same answer.. will see if I get the points in 3 days or not..

I emailed in starting and then got a response that they will come back in 5 working days.. they never replied again even after several follow up mail by me

Typical IDFC First customer care service. They are worse than Axis & Indus.

And it's very difficult to get in touch with the customer care.. but as their app is good was able to schedule a call from the app.. even their wealth account cc number does not work

I received the 8k points on my Wealth DC. However, I had to call them and remind them to credit the points. I waited 20 days since my first transaction to remind them.
I have transacted prior to 14th July for a few transactions. Still I received the points.
