IDFC FIRST Bank has announced significant updates effective 1st January 2026, impacting the First Rewards Program and overall Savings Account & Debit Card benefits.

Changes in First Rewards Program​

Effective 1 Jan 2026

• No Welcome Reward Points on debit card activation or initial transactions
• No Reward Points accrual on any online or offline debit card spend
• No Accelerated Reward Points on debit card transactions
• For bill payments:
  
  • Currently: 250 reward points per bill once per month
  • From Jan 2026: 500 points per unique biller, once a month, for up to 3 months

All previously earned points can still be redeemed anytime via the mobile banking app. There’s no change in redemption terms.
