Yes it will count with respect to wealth segment. Even you can use existing visa card that too will fetch rewards according to wealth tier.

Visa is useless card, you need to pay extra 0.6% or 1%+GST on CC bill payment.

Use IDFC Firstap RuPay DC and get same rewards, 10x rewards on cc bill payment without any extra charges.

Yep, got it. Amazing experience tbh except the call kept getting disconnected and their voice was also cutting when i called, but when they called me back, the process was flawless. They gave me whole statement that what I have gotten for what.

Anyways, funny part is they have given me 8k points for 1st tap card already as she confirmed but they haven't given me 8k points for visa infinite card yet.

Also I have gotten mar points but feb points they said when u ordered the 1stap card, and u did all trxns from that, the card wasn't mapped with rewards portal. But now it is mapped. She took my req. confirmed all trxns for feb too and put in manual req. and gave me ETA for 7-10 days.


Correct except the transactions done for bill payments in selected cases like if u do a BP for 1rs and it get's reversed, and then u do it again, u won't get 250 automatic monthly points. Customer care rewards team confirmed me that as it got reversed and 250 pts are for 1st Bill pay trxn hence I didn't got instant points. They said the 2nd try points of 250 u will get in few days not instantly. This is the logic they gave me.

I think u have to close the existing firstap and apply again to get the new firstap dc for the new reward structure of wealth program

continue using that one. In idfc reward is based on customer id lvl, not on dc.

Now thwy are reversing for cards from people who received. You can get it a single time in visa or first tap card. ONLY 1 TIME

IDFC's reward redemption is crazy. (1) Rs. 117 every time you redeem, (2) maximum of Rs. 10k worth of Amazon Gift card, (3) can't make purchases 100% with reward points ....

Still, better than nothing I guess

Does anyone have any tips and tricks on optimizing reward point usage? I have close to 2, 00, 000 points. Not a fan of iPhones, not a lot of choices for Samsung phones ... wondering if there are alternatives to paying Rs.99+GST five times lol

Dont waste your 50k worth amazon gv just to save some 500rs. Idfc is known to block rewards portal randomly. If i were u i would rush to claim those at even 200rs per redemption.

Have you heard about Axis Reserve story? If you had, you wont be doing it. IDFC is now reserved bank and cards badli pe pts mile toh bhi reverse honge.

Rupay hai toh zindagi hai. Welcome pts ke piche mat bhaago, banks welcome karna bandd kar denge. 🤣
