Chennai. It was a new branch then, few days into operations. I had wealth cc and 1L FD, Another 50K in Savings. They gave me the option to upgrade.
I am also in Chennai.Could you please tell which branch it is?

Upgrading and getting invite is very different thing
Last FY it was 5 lakh but this FY it's strictly 10 lakh either u have account or you open new
None can do it .pass it

Had a similar experience with ICICI, new branch gave me the option to open wealth with 2L IP in Noida. I guess this is a great hack to exploit if you have any new upcoming branches around your area.

It depends on branch to branch. Some branches demand 10l some do it in 5 lakh. I got mine upgraded by keeping 5l in March this year
March is the timeline
From this FY 10 l is mandatory
No tweaking
No matter which branch if you find a way let us know
They tried to open another account.I am holding 10k account and od against FD.When he enter my details,it showed "The customer is already holding account in IDFC bank" like this.So he said we can close all relationships and open a new account with direct program or try to open in Paper form
I was able to get it in 5L funding in September of this year
In the tab,it is asking for initial funding amount.If we enter less than 300000 for select program,it's showing as amount should not be lesser than 300000.and the same for wealth but 10 lakh
Idk all that, I got a regular account opened which the BM then got converted to Wealth

Bro there's no pre-set criteria for idfc bank.. different branches follow different guidelines
