Hey everyone,

This is my first post here, so please pardon any mistakes!

I applied for an Indusind credit card and have been offered the following options with their respective fees. I’m unsure which one to choose, so I’d love your input!

My Spending and Lifestyle

  • Major expenses: Online shopping on Amazon, Ajio, Myntra, and Utility payments (majorly around 10k pm but can go up to 1L in some months)
  • Dining out: Occasional, more frequent in Bangalore, but rare while in my hometown (where I am currently).
  • Travel: 2-3 flights a year (Delhi to n fro Bangalore).

IndusInd Card Offers

  • Legend - Lifetime Free (LTF)
  • Platinum Visa - LTF
  • Platinum Aura Edge Visa - LTF
  • EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Credit Card - ₹1,999
  • Qatar Airways - IndusInd Bank Avios Visa Infinite - ₹40,000
  • British Airways - IndusInd Bank Avios Visa Infinite - ₹40,000
  • RuPay Platinum Card - LTF
  • IndusInd Bank Pinnacle Credit Card - ₹5,000
    • The fee and image shown are different than what's shown on the website (ss attached)
  • EazyDiner IndusInd Bank Platinum Credit Card - LTF

My Current Credit Cards

  • SBI Cashback
  • SBI SimplyClick
  • HDFC Millenia
  • HDFC Swiggy
  • BOB Premier
  • Airtel Axis
  • ICICI Amazon Pay
  • ICICI Sapphiro
  • PNB RuPay Platinum
I already have a variety of cashback-focused cards and am considering focusing on cards that offer lounge access and priority pass benefits. Do you guys think this is the right approach, or should I be optimizing for something else? Appreciate your thoughts!

The only worthwhile cards that I know from IndusInd are

1. Eazydiner mostly for dinners
2.Tiger can give you up to 2.4% if spent above 6 lacs.

For paid cards which give better points return, look at
1. Indulge 1.5 points per100 where 1pt is 1re.
2. Pioneer legacy 2points for 100rs on weekends where 1 point is 1re

Check if any of these fit your spends.

TIGER CARD
but lately people saying its not for NTB customers
but I think we can get it thru this link
or this https://www.bajajcapital.com/tigercreditcard

Else you may go with LEGEND for LTF
Got it, thanks!
Should I get the Legend card first and apply for the Tiger card later?

try with the links i have mentioned
@saitama

Indusind has one card policy.
But I think you can get by requesting for upgrade/split limit basis!
When I was setting up my new Tiger card, they offered me other cards, some of them LTF to apply alongside the Tiger card. So, one card policy may not be applicable for Tiger card.

No, you can have more than one card
But I think you can get by requesting for upgrade/split limit basis!
Split Basis and upgrade both are possible with Tiger. As Tiger is a co-branded card from Indusind.
For an upgrade minimum limit on the existing card must be 1.5L as per CC & Split Basis 50K minimum limit on Tiger ( I don't think it is correct according to me around 1L) but not getting the apply link as of now tried multiple times.
Thinking of not going ahead with Legend and reapplying for Tiger after 3 months if customer care does not change the application from Legend to Tiger 🥲
Take Legend/ Pinnacle if you can meet the fee waiver criteria.
Currently, I am holding Legend with 4.62L. Trying to get the Tiger. Once you get an IndusInd card you can't apply any other cards directly without Split basis.

Thank you for the reply @Anindya98

For me, Legend is being offered as LTF and Pinnacle with a 5k fee. What do you suggest I should do?
  • Should I take the Legend card now and apply for the Tiger card on a split basis?
  • Is it better to take the CIBIL hit now and wait 3 months before applying for the Tiger card?
  • Does getting a co-branded card from IndusInd limit my chances of obtaining a core card, similar to HDFC?

Pinnacle has a conditional fee waiver if you spend 50K within the first 60 days then you get LTF.

Yes, I am doing the same but currently, they have not created the link and might have to wait for more than 3-4 months based on the Indusind track record.

Your Wish, they don't give a split basis option on the Indusind co-branded cards. It is easier to split from legend and get other cards. Split Basis works only if you have a core Indusind credit card.

@SSV might help you with this.

Get Indusind Pinnacle, if you can't manage 50k spends, just transfer money to your account with services like snapay - it will cost you like 590rs. But reward points will cover some of the expense (better if you have hdfc platinum debit card to pay cc bill as it will cover additional cost by giving some reward) -
This card will give you 1 domestic lounge /qtr and
2 international lounge / qtr
Then get 0MAB indusind exclusive account using pinnacle card which will give you exclusive debit card (you can get both mastercard and visa variant) with no charges -
This card will give you 1 "Indian" airport lounge / qtr and 3 BMS BOGO and rewards on paying cc bills
