IOB online account opening detailed process - Best for RSDC

Yup will ask the same next week (preferably by mail) is there any other way to request the same? They really fucked up I don’t know why they would open this when I specifically asked for Rupay Select card which they had denied but not with sure why would they do this so that even later I won’t be able to get that card.

Does anyone have experience in changing account variants with IOB?

No so really f***ed up, you have so much time to get rsdc.
Yes bsbd can be upgraded to any variant.
Upgrade to general public account and apply rsdc

Oh thats a relief that we can upgrade.

But my guess is for that I have to visit branch which is a bit far and I feel I will have to fight for getting my account upgraded otherwise they would have opened it directly when I asked 🙁

I sent them a mail however did not receive any automatic acknowledgement or something is that normal?
I received acknowledgement email with case id within 15 minutes from complaints@iob.in.

It may take some time if you sent email on holiday. Also as all banks are changing their domain to ".bank.in", so it could be the reason for delayed response.
 
I got an email in the evening which is just forwarding my complaint to branch but no case id mentioned there. But they did forward and as expected branch has not reached out, let’s see what happens but not sure what to so about that mail which I have not received. Probably because I didn’t mail to that third email id?

So after receiving the card, can I set the pin from IOB Connect app itself? V-KYC skipped

Asking this because had a stupid experience with CBoI. After receiving RSDC, the card was showing "Deactive" in Cent eez app. Called customer care and they said that after September 1, 2025, all premium debit cards have to be activated by visiting the home branch and then only PIN can be generated. Never tried the ATM route, because ik the BM. Called him up, explained everything and dropped an email to the branch email id that I have received my card and want to activate it. After 1 day I was able to set pin through the App.

That's the important email which will pressurize branch to take quick action and today most probably, you will get a call from branch, and they will resolve your issue.

you can activate it from app.
 
It’s ironic that IOB has resolved my issue on email but wants me to visit branch to talk to their MD on video call to tell that issue has been resolved to my satisfaction. 🤪

I think someone else also mentioned here this kind of thing. Want to know their experience if possible. 😄
