iPhone 16 and 16 Pro Launch Prices

I wouldn't recommend that. And if you seriously need cloud services for pictures then encrypt the data first.
In the era of AI, any content available would be used to train the data model.
Agreed. I go one step further and not store any pictures anywhere that can hurt us if compromised. Even phone storage is not safe, with all the apps having storage permissions.
Even phone storage isn't safe, app and developers have permission for almost everything, not mention everything they do without permission

@Batman and to everyone else here,
I've got a 14 Pro 256 Gb, no plans to upgrade right now,
battery is decent, can easily get 1.5 to 2 days with minimal use

How long will it last, when will it become absolutely necessary to upgrade ?

I'm thinking 2026, what do you think ?

I think Atlas or Marquee will be your best bet, though i don't have either so can't say in detail

If it's counted towerds milestones, then IDFC/SBI Vistara is also a decent bet, but with AI and Vistara merger in process, you'll have to factor that as well

*forex markup depends on the card used, will add in extra charges

Also, a little sad that Satellite messaging and SOS features, roadside assistance and whatnot are not available in India, seems like a cool feature for a vast country like ours with poor reception in rural and remote locations

Give it 2-3 years more. You’re not really going to miss out on much.

Atlas because 0 markup and milestone

Atlas because 0 markup and milestone
Atlas was never 0 Markup. It's 3.5% forex Markup.

Can only be used for Milestone I guess.

I am more inclined towards Emerald metal,Bob Eterna or Yes Marquee. As they have less forex Markup.

Agreed. SOS satellite call features have saved the lives of 10+ stranded people in the wilderness in the USA. It should have launched in India.

Does the search & rescue team respond on time is a different concern (:p), but the feature should have been present.

Your blockers with 14 Pro 256 will be these -
  1. Battery will last less than a day
  2. Camera quality goes bad (relative to newer iPhone Pros)
  3. You don't get to use the new AI features
Other than this, the 14 Pro will be a beast until 2028. An upgrade in 2026 is a safe bet. I would do that if I were in your place.

Infinia with gvp

Honestly, the SOS and satellite messaging features might be more useful for the iPhone itself, considering it’s more likely to get stolen than you getting lost in India! 😂😜

What's there in iPhone which isn't in android?
25-30k android phone is good enough all rounder phone .
Androids are great phones. I have used the small ones all my life - Samsung S10e, Asus Z2, etc.

Every buyer of iPhone has their own reasons for buying it. Some get it for camera and durability, some others for something else. In most cases, iPhones aren't as good value of money as an Android. But they are still great phones if you buy it at a good price.
