Is it worth activating Yes Marquee

I applied for yes marquee recently and it was delivered last week. I took it mainly for guest lounge access, but I didn’t check the latest news that the lounge access has been restricted by spends.
Moreover the tncs of the card are really shady, no where in the terms and conditions I see the rule of 35000 inr spends and the marquee website mentions unlikited lounges on top and 6 per quarter on bottom. This mis-selling is a real turnoff and is discouraging me to spend anything for the lounge access and to even activate the card.

btw, going by the trend by end of 2024, you won't get free lounge with any card. so, take that in consideration.

most cards have a first quarter waiver for lounge for new cards... i used mine with no difficulty at Delhi T3 - new marquee

That’s great to hear
And probably this is the first time I’m hearing that someone has successfully availed the lounge benefit
I’ll try as soon as I plan for my next trip

I have been trying to get the information from them over email
However, as i called their customer care, they confirmed minimum spend criteria is not applicable MARQUEE

I would request you to call them once to get this verified. Additionally, drop an email to them looping PNO and head of grievance. I don’t trust their words of mouth.

If you are planning to complaint to RBI, let’s do that… I’ll also do the same

If it didn't mentioned means its not applicable. you can fight for that reason also, if you want. Marquee not required for spends for lounge as of now.

Ex: ICICI released list of cards need for spend based lounge, nowhere in the document mentioned anything about sapphiro or emeralde. that is the industry practice, same for HDFC, Kotak etc. if a particular card not affectd, then no changes in that.

Also, doc updated one only re-check point 3 where it mentiond applicable cards and point 15 whre it mentiond marquee for any other queries. It means they're aware that card exist and intentionally not included in point 3. Remaining upto you, let me know if you got charged with lounge access, not sure proof other than TnC link is available with any bank or not, will let you know if found any for marquee.

But I don't think they'll mention anywhere like 'marquee is not required 35k/quarter spends like Reserv like that', this has to be assume from us and they'll update only if required those spends not otherwise.

After 30 days of using marquee.. my thoughts are these.. if you are an infinia / dcb / premium axis cards customer & you have ONLINE spends beyond smartbuy / traveledge etc ONLY then does marquee give gd return of 4.5 %..If you don't have the above then its one of the best returns online & offline with sbi cb coming close ( basis exclusions).. It gives 1.25 % on categories that others exclude.. Lounge access is still suspect on spend criteria.. BOGO on BMS is one of the best in the market in terms of amount and number of tkts.. fees are recovered through points for most of it..** anything can change with YES anytime ***

don't have to check once in redemption portal and see its allowing only 70% or all for those swiggy/zomato vouchers, If possible. Will show in checkout page before proceed for final payment.
