Is it worth to upgrade to SBI Elite from SBI Prime?

I am offered an upgrade to SBI Elite from Prime, and I am not sure if it's a good upgrade? Is it the premium card? Aren't everything is as same as Prime on this card? Also most importantly, will I get LE after upgrading (can someone previously got upgrade confirm) as I can see in upgrade FAQ that LE is also given solely on bank discretion?

If you compare Prime with Elite, I will say Elite is good.
1) Milestones are really good on Elite compared to that Pizza Hut vouchers on Prime which does not work on all PHD outlets.
2) Both provides you redeeming reward points against your credit card outstanding balance.
3) if you spend per year around 5lacs, you achieve 3L, 4L and 5L milestones per year thus 35k points worth Rs. 8500/- compensate your annual fee of 4999/- plus gst

if you use regularly your card after 6 months should see some LE

SBI Elite is a good card despite the hate being poured on it.

If you use it for 5L a year and spend atleast 40% on accelerated categories (grocery, department stores, dining) you can easily net a return of 3.4%. 4.4% if you consider the nice BookMyShow BOGO benefit of Rs.500. And you get the 3.4% as statement cashback which you can use to buy literally anything online or PoS. You are not stuck with vouchers of things you don't want (SCBU). Then there are the 12 yearly airport lounge visits and all 8 of them international.

The bummer is no easy renewal fees waiver. But if you are a high spender they will consider waiving it off from what I heard.

The problem with Prime is that milestone benefits are all vouchers, that too Pizza Hut or apparel stores. And even if you spend heavily on accelerated categories you will find it difficult to go above 1.8% returns (excluding vouchers).

So here, I get points as a milestone on achieving 3L, 4L and 5L milestones?

That's great. The only thing keeping me away from upgrading is LE, do they give LE if I upgrade? Any idea on this?

Yes, solid milestone benefits. 10k points on 3L, 10K on 4L, 15k on 5L. So by the time you spend 5L you will have 35k bonus points. Also you will get 15k on 8L but that reduces the overall value.

SBI limit extension rules are tricky and they are the same no matter what card you have. However, if you a spender and do not miss payments they will come forward with good LE offers. You can even write to them and request for LE.

My advice is to go for the upgrade. LE will come eventually.

It's not BOGO I think. You get 2 tickets 250 each per month.
