Is my HDFC credit card application approved ?

You should expect some approval messages and despatch email 😛.

HDFC is very late in sending texts n emails. I got the same one month after I received the card 😂

Wait for dispatch msg or mail with last 4 digits of cc. Using this last 4 digits you can verify limit in hdfc cards website

I don't think HDFC send last 4 digits. In my case also I got similar SMS and the next day of this SMS I got tracking number. Even the tracking SMS does not contain any digits of credit card.

I have got a message like this" Dear HDFC Bank Cardmember, your Credit Card XXXX has been dispatched through BLUE DART AWB # 310XXXX DT-30/11/2022. BlueDart will trigger an OTP for validation at the time of delivery, Please show valid ID proof to collect card." Once you get the last 4 digit you can login to mycards.hdfcbank.com and can see the limit and variant 🙂

You’ll have to wait till you get the confirmation text stating “Congratulations! Your HDFC Bank Credit Card application No.XXXXX is Approved. Your card will reach you within 3 working days.”

Once you get this text then only its finally approved or if unfortunately it gets declined you’ll get a text stating the same. You can also check your application status on the HDFC credit card application tracker website.

I never got that message. I manage to opt for biometric kyc but I always fail at final verification call due to my deafness. Tried twice.

NOT TOTALLY TRUE.

EVEN after all those sweet SMSs and eMails, and EVEN after they successfully despatch the card, STILL YOU ARE NOT SURE.

HDFC is notoriously well known for making despatched cards DORMANT. You will be back to zero.

So, DO NOT BELIEVE IN ANYTHING.

Till you get the card in hand, activate it and DO atleast one trxn without any glitch.

Till then, ANYTHING CAN GO WRONG. SMSs, eMails, Tracking or the language they use and what they really mean - are all bullshit with HDFC.
