Is RBL World Safari closing down ?

Preface - I've no conclusive proof ,this is just rank suspicion born out of boredom😅

Since last week I've been receiving multiple messages on daily basis from RBL to upgrade from World Safari to Icon Card(Paid)
I've also received 3 mails in 1 week regarding the same.

RBL bank has done the same to Zomato Editions Classic before ,while that was a co-branded card with great rewards ,World Safari is core card with mediocre rewards at best, so not sure what might be the reason for such a move.

I am using this card as mainstay whenever i travel abroad. No frills card for me.
I have got a message for an upgrade to insignia.
Never knew RBL had a card with that name

I also have LTF world safari card converted from LTF shoprite card last year. I have it written as well that my card is LTF, if they don't honor, Can take it to RBI?

Also i posted this in APR, it's now AUG, i don't think RBL wanted to close down World Safari, i think i a lot people(like me) are keeping this card for free abd they wanted to upgrade us to paid card

No Documents required.

To know more, give a missed call on 📞 7045906907 from your registered mobile number."

My World Safari is LTF and have email with this confirmation. I got this card one year ago (Nov/Dec'2023).

They increased my limited from 330000 to 435000 in Jan'24 and to 510000 10 days ago.

Of course I am not doing it, just posting it to share with TF members.

Icon is bad compare to rbl world safari.

I've got an offer to upgrade to insignia and they are pretty pushy with it, Calling multiple times a day.
However, got my CL enhanced from 5L to 6L - I think RBL enhances CL by a lakh a year. This is my second year.
Got charged for fee. Asked to waive, Was told no. Asked to cancel, Someone called and reverted it.
For me, It is a no nonsense card for forex use.
