Is the call genuine? (Axis Bank)

Few mins back, I received a call from someone claiming to be from Axis Bank. They said that my card is three months old and therefore there are some offers that need to be unlocked using the mobile application.

Feeling suspicious, I made an excuse that I am facing trouble with my internet connectivity at that point of time and let me know about the offer so I that I can check during free time. The person said that they'll give some branch code and emp id. The person also said that they can do a whatsapp call if there is an issue with the internet (face-palm moment 🤣). I told them that currently I am at a place where there is limited connectivity, so please try again after a few days.

Want to understand if this call is genuine?
1. if someone is guiding you on the app, it means that you can do it yourself too. no special offers will be there. so you are not missing out on anything
2. axis people are so aggressive in their marketing that their methods seem similar to those of scammers, so difficult to distinguish.
3. in my experience, when i had called them for offers, even they browsed the web and gave me same response that the website gave me regarding customized offers.
it seems that they just want to get some extra bonuses by making people add their employee ids against cards which were given online.

ignore these calls.

my strategy is that i NEVER pick calls (even from official bank numbers).
if it is anything important, they will reach out over email. anything that they say over call is not a proof anyways. i am willing to let go of a few offers in return for surety that i won't be scammed by someone impersonating bank officials.
