I don't know kotak has only exclusion list of mcc. Your friend should have got the cb for amazon.

I tried to open Kotak 811 super account online, but it was unsuccessful after Aadhar verification and got a message to visit branch for further processing. Anyone faced this issue?
HDFC swiggy card official T&C does say GV purchase not eligible for 5% cb but then hdfc millennia credit card T&C says the same but ppl still get 5% there so it all comes down to which mcc hdfc consider for GV purchase on amazon for a card & they clearly don't consider swiggy card for it but do consider millennia card for it (likely something to do with millennia being a core card vs swiggy being a co-branded card).
What will kotak do if amazon GV payment gateway itself has a mcc related to wallet/money transfer category? This is assuming kotak did not follow the example of HDFC above to assign wallet/unique mcc to amazon GV payment gateway on amazon.

Buy from GYFTR portal for Kotak bank directly for 5% cashback and end this discussion. For millennia, swiggy or any other card do the discussion on dedicated threads for those cards. This thread has already become too big so please spare us some peace here.

Yes it does, gift cards are not exclused in super dc. I have bought gift cards last month and got cashback.

Kotak bank rejected my online kyc and asked me to visit branch but they at branch are not opening 811 super account. They are saying we open only normal accounts with 50k cheque and 10kMAB. I visited 3 branches, some in the branch says that this type of account opening is currently closed. How to get this accont?
