Yes old will get closed, that's what happened in the past for me Kotak Signature from Platinum or so.

Update : As informed earlier card is approved and finally today its showing in the application and I got different limit I mean separate. My both card has 30K+30K limit. If you think its merge? NO its not merged I used my old card limit of ₹100 and same showing ₹100 debited from the old card and in my new card ₹30K is showing!... Now I am waiting for dispatched msg. Thanks!...

It'll show like that only. Same with other banks like ICICI & Axis. But when you utilise the limit of 1st card fully, you can't use the limit of other card even if its showing available limit.

How to do that? I mean if I use fully they will charge me the over-limit fee right?

Yes if you have enabled over Limit facility. Try to utilize 100 rupees from new card. Because some times when you activate your new card your existing card will be deactivated.

Got it from my old last year beginning email, * is for account maintaining/continuity it seems.

From my experience, if you upgrade your Kotak CC, you can only use both the existing and New Card simultaneously for 30 days (told by Kotak Customer Care) since the New CC got approved. After that the Old Card gets Closed.
