Kotak White Credit Card being offered at Life Time Free

Not worth using even if it is free.
There are no points or cashback.
you need to reach 6 lakhs to get only 2% worth of vouchers which are discounted.

Who uses this card for rewards???
It's ment only for lounge access as it has a good no of lounge acceptance as good as DCB.

Kotak customer Care told me that he can give my wife the white card lifetime free, but he has to close the existing Kotak feast card, which we want to keep.

Then he said customer is allowed maximum three cards
If you want to keep the feast card you have to apply through your relationship manager for the second white card

Like @amit mentioned this is only a URL manipulation to show different values in the fee fields. For instance the Zen card:

//https://cards.kotak.com/card-details?productLogo=300&channelCode=SF96&feeCode=301/

Change the &feeCode=301 value to 300 and the page will show zero Annual and Joining fees. Only the front end shows LTF/FYF/Paid according to the value you enter in the URL and its corresponding parameter value stored in Kotak CMS. This does not change anything in the backend which means the card is still paid until the bank offers it to you as free.

The only thing we learn here is that Kotak systems are probably not very smart.
Changing the code to 101 and 301 to get lifetime free has been fixed by Kotak.
Now you get an error page.
So you can't get it lifetime free using this method .

But optima and Insignia customers get it lifetime free if they apply through the relationship manager in the branch

Here is the proof that Kotak white card is lifetime free only for optima and Insignia customers.

It may (or may not) initially show as lifetime free, but after they hit your CIBIL, they will show you the charges of 3540.
Or else when you receive the card by courier you will see the charges of 3540 both for joining and renewal

You're late, so you are unaware of what's happening.
Read this thread from the beginning and you'll realize that many individuals have received this LTF card with email confirmation.

But at least one person reported that when the card came by courier, it was showing charges of 3540 as joining and renewal fee.

Maybe it was given lifetime free for the first few people who applied for it.
after that they stopped giving it lifetime free

Don't bother to apply for it, it is really not useful at all, even if it is lifetime free.

Anyway posters have reported that although it's shown as lifetime free, when the card actually arrived at their residence it came with a covering letter showing the annual fee and joining fee
cover letter does not have fees section even for paid card

For me showed joining and Annual fee, no cibil hit but experian hit*
I didn't got charges information in courier ... card kit.
Only card and white benefits booklet.
When kotak cards, joining fee will be charged?
Joining fees 3540 will come in your first months bill and the renewal fees 3540 will come after 12 months.

But it's not worth paying anything for this card.
Only accept Kotak white if it is lifetime free, for the International and domestic lounge access
