Latest Working Methods to Pay Credit Card Bill from Debit Cards

Anybody recently redeemed HDFC ESP DC reward?
I redeemed on 25 January still not credited to account.

Anyone please confirm

When an MCC has a lot of volume moved, banks internally validate the MCC. They must have notified SBI Unipay about it and SBI has a very slow change process implementation, so they just hid the option in the interim. An MCC correction is most prob in the pipeline. If the bypass is heavily used, the MCC correction might be pushed sooner. I would urge the Unipay Users to limit their bill payment to some extent but this is India and we have an inner programming to not listen until a good thing is burned down to the ground.

And moving forward all bill payment portals will be mostly free of any rewards because banks know how it's being abused. We might get something temporarily but it's done now.

Probably JioFinance is getting ready to enable debit card option for CC payments. 😉

Probably JioFinance is getting ready to enable debit card option for CC payments. 😉

Not unless it is only rupay debit card, it is a true Indian company so it will only support upi & rupay. 😛

Important update:
Sbi Unipay has removed the option to pay cc bills using other bank’s debit card. But there is a workaround. Select sbi debit card option and there you can use other bank’s debit cards as well.

But even if you click on SBI debit card option you can use other bank debit card

Is this still working? My transaction keeps failing everytime.

Update: Other bank DC in SBI option has stopped working for now. Tried twice with Millennia and IDFC and both failed.

But Aapne Ghabrana nahi hai. Wapis chalega sab kuch. Bas sabar karo.

Also pray to Lord Rewadeshwar that no convenience charges are introduced for payments above Rs.2000 by other bank DC while SBI cards will be free.

Worked couple of hours back when I tried for the first time. Now when I tried again, it is not working

I think when you pay once, SBI Unipay realises that yeh toh c***ya bana rahe hai... so it fails next time
