Nope, Physical DC isn't required. You can get VDC without any DC present in the account.

at some point it was possible to load Amazon Pay Wallet using some DC, and then pay CC Bills from the wallet balance. It is not possible anymore! When was that facility stopped?

It is 1000 points per each lakh of spend for Physical DC.
For Virtual Rupay DC, again it is 2x.

So, 2000 points per 1 lakh spend on Virtual Rupay DC.

I could only find https://sbi.co.in/web/personal-banking/cards/debit-card/sbi-virtual-debit-card which does not state any such thing.

Does it depend o account variant too?
