Looks like elite is available on rupay

Call CC and directly ask the person to connect your call to the supervisory desk (don't waste time at the first level. They will keep saying new card can't be made LTF).

Ask the supervisory desk person to make the new card LTF telling your old card was LTF. He will raise the PCT ID change request.
Is it possible to call the supervisory desk at night, or does it have to be during the morning (daytime)?

So, had a conversation with CC, There was girl on supervisory desk and she said she didn't have capabilities to convert LTF or change PCT ID
She told me that try calling to retention team as they only have this LTF converting capabilities

Any work around or what specifically i ask supervisory desk i call them again
Considering i have to guide them about this

They themselves cannot do it. But they can raise a request ticket for the same. Then the concerned team will take care of the raised ticket. Just ask them to raise the ticket.

If they say they can't, then ask them to connect the call to whoever can do it.

just a query, do i need to convert it to mastercard again for PCT ID change request?

Or, you can see in the " Track Service request section" one SR raised as "PCT ID to be changed "..
like below...

However, This will only be applicable in the cases of an existing chargeable card to be changed to LTF
Should i consider it successfully for my case as well because i haven't recieved any sms or email regarding this, or it needed to be confirm again by other method?

Yes itjis
.it will be LTF soon
Congratulations
Thank you for your great help. Is there any way to check for LTF status for this card other than calling customer care? They seem to be clueless about this. Initially, I had the Simply Click card, which I tried to convert to LTF using the card closure trick. Later, customer care told me it wasn't converted to LTF. However, now when the elite LTF card comes into the scene, customer care told me the card was directly flipped from LTF Simply Click to elite. My account never held any LTF elite card, even though I changed its channel.
thus I don't trust them now. 💀

there is no place to check actually..
If "PCT ID to be changed " SR rasied means , after the SR is completed it will be LTF for sure...
Take a SS and in case they charge you in future you can show it to them.. actually you dont require it .. but just in case..
Dont think too much about this ..all done and dusted..
Congrats again.. Have fun..

Ask your Wealth RM to get you a mail from SBI Cards.

After SBI Elite MasterCard to Visa conversion, I wanted the LTF status in writing too (even though during the setup process it did show 0 fees).

So when the Wealth RM called and was telling about the Elite FYF among other Wealth benefits and investment products, I told him the network switching story and asked him if he can get me a mail from SBI Cards confirming the LTF status of the new card.

I had zero expectations that he would really do it (Especially, after reading how SBI RMs don't care about the customers as it is not a private bank). But voila! Got the desired mail from SBI Cards the next day.

First (amazing) use of SBI Wealth!

Thank you for that great help. Although if i want to check for LTF status, is there any way other than calling customer care.

I called mine, and although our RM is Dev Manus, he just told me to share my card number and that he would see how he could take care of it. Let's see what I can get:crossed-fingers:

Hi @SSV ,
I contacted the SBICard website to inquire about the status of my Lifetime Free (LTF) offer. I provided all the details regarding the change of my PCT ID and explained how I initially received a Mastercard and then switched to RuPay, which initiated the process for making my RuPay card LTF again.

However, they responded by denying my request. They apologized for any miscommunication but stated that my card was not LTF and would incur charges.
they automatically suggest closing the card as well in the last line
I would appreciate your thoughts on this situation.
