Hi All,
I made a bit of a blunder and completely lost track of my Accor points’ expiry date due to some parent's health issues over the past few months. I wasn’t really able to focus or keep up with such things.
When I recently checked, I realized that all my points around 30,000 had expired on 8th August.
On 12th October, I reached out to Accor customer support, and they kindly agreed to reinstate all 30k points as a one-time exception, provided that:
I am based in Bangalore and was considering booking a 1-night stay at the cheapest available Accor hotel near hosur(around Rs 4,000) just to meet this condition.
Has anyone here gone through a similar situation? Will such a stay be sufficient for reinstatement, or is there anything specific I should be aware of?
Also, does anyone know if the 3-month deadline is counted from the expiry date (8th August) or from the date I received their email (12th October)? Would really appreciate if someone who has gone through a similar case could shed some light on this.
I plan to confirm everything with customer care again, just to have it clearly documented over email, but wanted to check with the community first for any real experiences or advice.

We invite you to reply to this e-mail once your stay has been credited to your account, or to send us a copy of your paid invoice if your stay has not been credited within 7 days of your check-out date.”
